If we could give 10 stars out of 5 we would. Auntie Em and her furry sidekick, Chewy were beyond amazing in every sense of the word. Kept me updated everyday on their journey from Utah to Florida. We had been babysitting my daughter’s dog for 6 months during a work move. And we had been struggling to find someone trustworthy to take Ekko home to my daughter. Auntie Em totally delivered the dog, but provided so much more. She took great care of him, made sure he got breaks out of the van and basically loved him and cared for him like he was her baby. TLDR: DO NOT book with this company. Horrible timeline communication (made another stop 3 states out of the way), threatened seizing communication, teaches bad puppy manners, and terrible payment requirements. I wish I paid more for another company. If I could give zero stars, I would. I always fill out surveys and almost always give 5 stars for everything so it takes a LOT to not get 5 stars from me. I have NEVER given a 1 star review until now. They will not deliver within their estimated timeframe and don't communicate changes in the estimated delivery range until you ask even when it's supposed to be the next day. They scheduled another pickup over 3 states away leading to a huge delay in getting my 13 week old puppy. A trip that should only have taken 7 days max if only driving 6 hours per day took them 11 days. They also didn't communicate the delay until I asked if they were still planning to drop her off within the original estimate. They quoted weather but when further questioned, revealed it was due to a pickup in Texas. They should have communicated as soon as they decided to book that pick up that there would be a large delay. Better yet, they shouldn't add a pickup that's 3 states away when you're transporting a 13 week old puppy. They also will threaten to seize communications until 2 hours before delivery if you question their delays. In this case, Google showed a road was closed. However, the DOT live website showed that exact road closure had exits open to use as the road while it's closed. So because they don't want to use the most accurate route information, they get further delayed. They either purposely say the dog will arrive sooner than they expect to try to make owners happy when they know they can't possibly make that timeframe. Or they aren't looking up trip timelines using Google maps and are winging their estimates. They had a delivery estimate of Thursday - Friday. I asked on Tuesday what day it was looking like and they couldn't say but end of week still looked good. I learned Wednesday that they weren't even half-way due to the Texas pickup that day (as if they didn't know that when I asked the day prior?). They then said Sunday or Monday. I then have to ask Saturday if it's looking like Sunday and learn it should be Monday. Sunday they say Monday evening (I had to ask again). Monday they say it will be Tuesday morning. And then later say Tuesday early afternoon. Tuesday comes around and I have to ask after 3pm to get an update on ETA and they say 7:30pm. They don't arrive until 8pm. I would have been less frustrated if they were upfront about their timelines in the first place. However, they likely lie so people don't book someone else who can actually deliver on time. They send videos morning and night which is a plus but I noticed she was letting my puppy bite her hand. I know she was teething but I don't appreciate teaching my dog to chew on people. I'm hoping she didn't learn other bad habits. Finally, they only accept Zelle, Google pay, or Cash App for payment which is pretty sketchy. I chose Zelle but it has limits of $500/day and I had to call my bank every day to say it wasn't fraud because the payments needed to go through in time for the pickup date. The ONLY good things were morning and evening video updates and she bought my puppy a nylon bone to help with teething.

After my sister’s brother passed away unexpectedly, our family was faced with an urgent and emotional situation: locating his beloved dog, Opie, and getting him safely from Arizona to Oklahoma to be with family. Every option we explored seemed impossible. Flying wasn’t viable — Opie is geriatric, XXL-sized, significantly overweight and has severe mobility and health issues. We kept hitting roadblocks and felt completely overwhelmed. From the very first moment I connected with Maria at Sugar’s Fur Babies Express, I felt immediate relief. She understood the urgency, the emotional weight, and most importantly, Opie’s special needs. Maria personally picked Opie up in Phoenix and transported him safely to Oklahoma, and from start to finish, I never once worried about him while he was in her care. Maria kept me updated with photos and videos throughout the journey, which meant everything to us. Opie had barely eaten since his owner passed away 23 days earlier — and Maria was the first person who got him to eat a full meal. That alone speaks volumes about the comfort, trust, and calm she provided him. She also carefully monitored and updated us on a pre-existing toenail injury, taking incredible care of his tender foot and his aching hips. Every detail was handled with thoughtfulness, compassion, and experience. I never had to wonder if Opie was okay — Maria had everything covered. When Opie arrived, it was clear he trusted her completely. Since we had never met Opie ourselves, Maria’s familiarity with him helped ease the transition and made him feel safe and secure in a brand-new environment. Maria Sugarman and Sugar’s Fur Babies Express are truly the best. If you are looking for someone who will care for your pet as if they were her own — especially in difficult or emotional circumstances — there is no one I would trust more. We are forever grateful.

I am sure that many may have a good experience with Christina, but we did not. Christina agreed to transport our dog along with some personal items, but while the dog did arrive, the expensive items did not. It is strange that we were not informed that they were "lost" until she arrived to deliver our pet. Additionally, we were sent photos of our pet during the trip, and in one of them, she was eating kibble. Our pet eats the raw meat diet, and for those familiar, switching instantly from raw to a random kibble could cause digestive issues and sickness. The fact that we were not notified that the food we set along with our pet ran out is a big issue. Additionally, we sent enough food for over a week. So while the trip was longer than we were told it would be, which caused me to have to leave NYC without getting to see my pet safely delivered first... The trip was not so long that she should have run out of food. After we received our pet, we also noticed a large bleeding sore on her, along with a swollen leg... Christina and the driver she transferred out pet to halfway through had no idea this happened, and even told me I was lying when I brought it to their attention. Overall, I did not feel care or understanding from them when voicing my concerns - inseatd, we were told we were being "dramatic" and "making it about the money". So to recap: lost items totaling over $2,000, change to dog diet with no notice/permission, and injury to our dog. Would not recommend. 2/5 stars is generous.

He went above and beyond by taking the time to text and send videos, keeping me updated on my pet's well-being throughout the journey. Travis was amazing with our 3-legged rescue pitbull. He was responsive, sent a Waze link to track progress, sent photos throughout the trip, and even coordinated with the foster home to keep everyone on the same page. I cannot recommend this service enough, and would happily use again.

Pam was a joy to work with from my first nervous contact to our hug hello. She took such good care of our precious Tiger Baby who was brought 850 miles up through the US to join my sister, her mama, who had to abruptly "escape" a bad domestic situation. As her big sis i soooo wanted to find a way to safetly bring up her precious fur baby in a way i could afford. Pam worked with me every step from timing to price and sent notes and photos along the way and arrrived right when and where she said she would. Thank you Pam of Arkie's Ark! You are the BEST!
