About
Kahu is a Hawaiian word which means honored attendant, guardian, nurse, regent, keeper, administrator, warden, caretaker, master, mistress of a pet. My name is Melisa and I would be happy to safely transport your furry friend to their new home. I have been a full time Diamond rated Uber driver since 2018, and delivering pets since May 2020. My goal is to provide a seamless, stress free ride for your fur baby. If the distance of your trip is under 1,000 miles, I can usually get your furry friend to their home that night. You will receive video and photo updates all along the trip. *Please confirm dates with me before you accept my bid.* How it works: After you accept my bid on Citizenshipper, we can communicate freely. We are unable to share contact information until the bid is accepted. Citizenshipper charges customers a percentage of the bid, and both customers and drivers pay a fee to use this platform. You can pay me via Venmo or Zelle anytime between bid acceptance, or at the time of pickup with a partial deposit. I send a video at pick up and every 3-5 hours afterwards. *For planned trips over a week in advance, a 5% discount is offered if full payment is made within 1 day after bid acceptance. This helps tremendously in trip expenses and possible car rental.* I will email a receipt after payment insuring a full refund if an unforeseen event prevents me from picking up and/or delivering your pet in a timely manner. I normally request full payment up front to help with trip expenses, similar to paying an Uber before you step into the vehicle.

Melisa did an amazing job transporting my cat from Nebraska to Oregon. She sent videos and pictures throughout the day and always kept me up to date on how my cat was doing. I'd definitely use Melisa again, and I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to have confidence that your pet is well cared for during a trip.

AWESOME experience. Needed to get my daughter’s dog from Texas to Montana. She took great care of our pet and sent us video updates of the trip and reports on how he was doing. Highly recommend.

Melisa was simply excellent. She picked up and delivered exactly on time. She sent ongoing videos so we could see how our pup was doing, and seemed to being the gentle handler that a stressed puppy needs. She found wonderful stopover places on a very very long journey.
