About

Pickup and delivery dates must be discussed prior to booking. FAQ are at the bottom of the page ALL items must fit within a large gift bag or backpack. If there are additional items that will not fit in that size we need to know prior to booking. If there are additional items our ability to transport them is subject to availability and an additional fee may apply For shared transport payment is required in full upon delivery for ground transportation make sure the person who will be completing payment is either at the delivery location or will be available when we get there to deliver as we are unable to leave until receiving payment and charge $50 for every half hour we have to wait For flight nanny jobs and solo trips 50% non refundable deposit is required after booking and the other 50% is due upon delivery. * We accept payment upon delivery with cash, cashapp, zelle, or venmo. VERY IMPORTANT: we drive through the day and night, because of this we DO NOT have the ability to wait hours for pickup/drop off. Please understand these hours waiting mean more time your pet and/or other pets are sitting in a vehicle and they are hours we are away from our family. We try our best to give the most accurate timeframes we can but in the thousands of miles we drive per week there are so many things that can happen with changes in bookings, weather, traffic, care level needed, ECT. If you have specific times you will be unavailable for any reason we MUST be informed prior to booking, if it is not disclosed and agreed upon prior to booking there will be a $50 fee per hour we have to wait. We are usda certified, red cross pet cpr/first aid certified pet transporters. We are open and honest about everything we do and will answer any question. We strive for 100% pet satisfaction. The safety and care of the animals we transport is what's most important to us. We hope to help you transport your pet to their home safely, quickly, and with passion and care. We're a family owned and operated company. A little bit about us Our team: Brianna- I handle all of the bookings and scheduling and I am one of the drivers on the majority of our trips. Sheila (my mom)- previously a respiratory therapist currently a corgi breeder and my other lead driver. Either her or myself are on all ground transports and we handle all of the communication during the trip. John (my uncle)- retired fabricator and is one of my drivers. All of our ground transports are a 2 person team Thank you for your time no matter your choice we wish your pet safe and happy travels. But remember there is no better couple to transport your paws than a couple of paws. Frequently asked questions Q.) Are there any hidden or extra charges? A.) The only charge other than our bid is a fee citizenshipper charges for the use of their site, the citizenshipper fee is NOT included in our bid. Q.) How many pets do you transport at a time? A.) We average at 4-5 at a time, however the exact amount just depends on the sizes of each pet. Q.) Do you require crates? A.) We do not require crates for non aggressive dogs. If your dog is not friendly with other animals they would have to ride in a crate. If you prefer your pet rides in a crate let us know so we can have one available. If we are not informed ahead of time I cannot guarantee one will be available. Q.) Do you recommend we get something from the vet for anxiety? A.) Yes, some dogs do absolutely wonderful the entire time and do not need anything for anxiety, some dogs are super anxious and would definitely benefit having something for anxiety. It would be better to send something for anxiety and not need it than not send it and your dog is one who would benefit from having it. Q.) What kind of vehicle do you use? A.) We typically use rental minivans Q.) How does this all work? A.) After completing the booking we get the addresses and phone numbers for pickup and drop off. We send you a picture upon pickup and 2-3 pupdates a day. We try our best to do it around breakfast, lunch, and dinner however we cannot guarantee the exact times. We stop every 4-5 hours for bathroom, walking, and water (Pets are not let out during any extreme weather conditions) Pets will be fed based on the schedule given to us by the breeder/owner. Q.) Is your quote discounted already? A ) If the description mentions that you're military, senior citizen or first responder the bid will include the discount. The quote without our 10% discount is what will be charged in the event proof cannot be provided if asked. You must book at least 1 week out to qualify for the discount. Q.) What age dogs do you transport? A.) We transport dogs from the ages of 8 weeks up to 10 years old. We do not transport dogs over the age of 10 Q.) Why don't you transport pets over 10? A.) We prefer to avoid transporting dogs over 10 because even though we do our best to keep your pets happy and calm, travel has the ability to cause anxiety or stress on pets and older pets have a higher likelihood to have medical issues because of it. I care very deeply about all of the pets we transport and the added worry that we have impacts my ability to get enough sleep so I decided to no longer transport older dogs so we can continue to provide fast, safe, reliable transport. Q.) How do you transport cats? A.) We feed based off of the schedule provided to us by the owner, water bowl is attached to the door of the crate and is filled halfway at each stop, a litter box is placed at the back of the crate and is cleaned 2x a day. When picking up from the same household we do 1 cat in a medium crate, 2 cats in a large crate, or 3 cats in an XL crate. Q.) Can I provide my own crate? A.) If you have a PLASTIC crate you can provide it we just need to be informed beforehand. We cannot transport pets in metal crates due to USDA regulations. Q.) Do you offer flight nanny services? A.) Yes, we have flight nannies if you specify in your description that you prefer a flight nanny we will give you a quote for airport to airport travel; if you want/need a pickup or drop off from a location other than the airport make sure to let us know for an updated bid. Q.) How long will this take? A.) Unless there are extreme weather delays all trips are under 5 calendar days, the average is 2-4 calendar days. Q.) Is this door to door service? A.) Our ground transportation is door to door service except for locations on a military base, if on a military base we can meet right outside of the base or a location nearby. Q.) How long are dates good for? A.) Dates are only good for up to 24 hours, after that you would need to reconfirm prior to booking due to potential changes or spots no longer being available. Q.) Do you have issues with communication? A.) It really depends on who you ask, the people who you are communicating with are the transporters that have your pet. We do not stop at hotels at night to provide faster transportation and by doing that our drivers sleep in shifts. So sometimes it takes longer to receive a response, if one driver is sleeping and the other is driving you will not receive a response until we arrive at a gas station and are able to safely respond to your message. Q.) Do you transport agressive pets? A.) Yes, if they're aggressive towards people they are to remain in the crate for the entire duration of the trip. Food and water is given through the crate and pictures are taken from the outside of the crate. If they're good with people just not other animals then while the car is in motion they are in the crate but they're let out at stops and just kept away from the other pets. Q.) Can my pet have a blanket/toy with them? A.) You can if you'd like to, however if you decide you want it with them you are accepting that we cannot guarantee the condition of how it arrives. We transport multiple pets so the item may get damaged from play, pee, poop, and/or vomit. Q.) When will you be able to give me a timeframe for pickup/drop off? A.) The day before pickup/delivery is when we'll have our most accurate timeframe (2 hour window) but it is not guaranteed if there are circumstances beyond our control. We can give you a rough estimated time before that based on what our previous trips would typically be but our most accurate time frame will be given the day before Q.) Do you drive in the snow? A.) Yes we do, we try to avoid it when reasonably possible however since we do trips year round it's sometimes unavoidable. We ask for patience and understanding with delays or slight changes in the schedule as safety is our #1 priority and we will not drive in a way that causes further risk to our safety or the safety of the pets who we are entrusted with. I keep a very close eye on the weather forecast throughout the entire trip and may have to adjust the specific route we take based on road closures and the severity of the weather conditions. If it is too bad or have to stop because of road closures we will get a pet friendly hotel room where we will stay with your pet until we are able to continue and keep you updated as normal. Q.)What information is needed from me? A.) We need a copy of the shot records, any pickup/delivery addresses and phone numbers, any and all medical conditions (failure to disclose releases a couple of paws from all liability) Q.) Do you offer GPS tracking? A.) This varies by trip, we have worked with several high profile clients and require a signed NDA. When we are in situations like that we are unable to provide tracking. The trips where we're allowed to share GPS we share it via Google maps. Q.) Do you smoke? A.) I used to, I finally quit (yay) in November 2021. *By booking with us you are agreeing to all of our policies and procedures as listed in our about me section*

Fast delivery - made it from IL to CA in 47 hours. Would have liked more pro-active status updates versus me having to ask, but they were responsive when asked. Friendly upon pickup and delivery.

Totally satisfied. They delivered my semi-feral 13 year cat Lexi in three days from California to Pennsylvania. They sent photos and kept me updated on Lexi. I highly recommend Couple of Paws. Thank you for bringing Lexi safely to her new home with me.

Great experience with A Couple of Paws transporting my dog cross country. Pricing was extremely reasonable with excellent communication both before and during the trip. Sent pictures along the way and delivered even earlier than we had anticipated. Will definitely use them again.

Brianna was great to work with from start to finish. She answered several of my questions prior to the trip, arrived on-time for the pick up and drop off. She provided daily picture updates throughout the trip. I could tell my dog, Charlie, was very comfortable with her and during the trip. Thank you so much. I recommend her to anyone who may need to move their pet across the country.
