About

I am Doug Knight the sole-proprietor of DC TransporT and Hearth & Hound PeT Delivery. I partner with my wife Cathy as we team up to transport cargo and pets safely and affordably. We are known Delivery Duo. I have been in the business of transport and worked for Safeway, a food Distribution center for over 30 yrs. In 2020 we retired, moved to a farm with family, and started breeding Aussie Doodles. We both love and have always had pets so this is a hobby not a chore. Cathy does all the wellcare, whelping, website, and other needs for the 5 Mommas and pups. I take care of maintenance, marketing, and some of the not so desirable stuff. We then started delivering our pups to our customers and now for select breeders and Uship. We now deliver pets coast to coast. We get great satisfaction from transporting pets. We just love to travel with them and love the seeing how happy people are when they get their pets. We haven't had any complaints because we treat them as they are our own. We found Uship while moving and started hauling local for them. We then sought to use some of our talents and started this transport service coast to coast. We now specialize in delivering Trailers, RVs, Boats, with our PeT delivery. Helps to keep us competitive. We also transport motorcycles,Atv's and some other cargo. Pets ride with us in our vehicle and are not left alone. We have insurance to cover pets & cargo transported by us. Give us a chance you won’t be disappointed.

I use this vehicle for Pet Transportation. I can transport comfortably I Large, 2 Medium,or 3 Small pets inside. They are separated and can not see each other. We do not transport pets in the bed of the truck. We take extra care to provide comfort and stress free rides for your pets. We also transport small Trailers, Boats, ATV,s and Motorcycles with this vehicle. It has a 5000 towing weight limit. It is also used for deliveries with my other trailers.

The transporter is honest, dependable, courteous, timely and an outstanding prompt communicator. We had several challenges and pick up changes while transporting our precious puppy due to the seller's health issues, but this team met all challenges and changes with empathy, patience and the upmost professionalism. They were a blessing to us. We would highly recommend the team and their services to anyone.
