This was the absolute best experience I could have ever imagined! I had some hesitation hiring anyone to transport my two beautiful dogs. Mike at Happy Trails Pet Transport was the absolute best. He was so friendly and the communication was so great! He worked around our schedule and sent photos along the way. We were transporting two large dogs over 600 miles, so it was about a day and a half trip. He took photos at all the stops. They brought my 9-week old shih tzu, Stella, all the way to Los Barriles, Mexico! No problems with customs/immigration, multi-flight connections and a very young, high energy puppy! In general, they arrived in great condition, they were well taken care off, from the pictures shared during the trip they always seemed happy and at ease which was my main concern. my only bad experience was with the scheduling process, we had originally booked a date, i requested an earlier pick up which increased the cost understandably but managed to forget a crucial request on timing, had to scramble to get a back up plan in place and timing kept changing. as a planner this was very frustrating to me. Delivery was also a time changing, first it was delivery in the am, then 4pm then 6:30pm then finally 9:30pm more like closer to 10pm. while i do recommend the service as they treated my dogs with care, keep in mind that don't plan a trip to leave on the same day as pick up and leave your entire day clear for delivery.

Where do I begin? After losing my soul dog almost two years ago, I recently started looking to adopt a pup. I stumbled upon the absolute perfect dog for my family. The catch was she was 730 miles away. I researched transport services and decided to make an account with Citizen Shipper and just see what the quotes would be like. I ended up booking a transporter that day and we arranged for her to pick up two days later. The evening before the transporter was scheduled to pick up, she cancelled. My family and I were devastated. I decided to try one more time and as soon as I received the quote from Papi's Furry Friends we began to chat about the logistics. I loved that they could transport my pup individually and it wouldn't be a situation where she was stuck in the back of a van with crates stacked to the ceiling for multiple days. Melissa and Jenn were so kind and answered all of my questions. I really enjoyed Rickki when I met her for pick up. After discussing my fears and concerns about Lucky being an elder dog, and the importance of getting her to her destination, she assured me she had everything under control. She also shared she had a last minute pick up/drop off in LA, but have Lucky in San Diego by 5pm. Long story short from 5pm - 8pm I tried tracking Rickki down. She failed to pick up the phone but would send me a text saying Lucky was well looked after, and that she would deliver her soon. By 9pm, I was frantic and about to call the police.Rickki sent a message saying now she had "another" drop off, but instead of heading to San Diego, she was enroute to Palm Springs!!. I was extremely upset and so worried about my senior dog and the fact she had been in a cramped car from 9am that morning. After treating to call the police, if I was not given proof of their location, did I receive a text screen shot of map. Rickki apologize and said she had not done the journey before and was confused. It was almost 11pm before my dog was dropped off. She was terrified, exhausted and scared. No bad feelings to Rickki, as she seems to genuinely love pets, but never again would I use her. My fault was not putting a tag on the dog, but having used citizen shipper before, I felt confident in the service. A formal complaint was sent to citizen shipper regarding this matter

Although he normally hates being cooped up in a house (or anywhere else!), Justice really took to chilling and hanging out in the van with Steven for an exceptionally long ride of over 2K miles! Pam made the trek from Portland to Florida with our 18 year old baby. She took amazingly great care of her. It might be the most important part of our move and she made it possible. Shelby (our dog) is hard to care for at her age and Pam did an amazing job. We were worried about that far of a journey but Pam made sure Shelby was safe and comfortable the entire way. I wish we could give her more than 5 stars, for everything. Communication was great, they made it on time, Shelby was well taken care of. Nijah was terrific! This is the first time we’ve ever shipped our 63lb, big baby of a standard poodle. He is sweet but very skittish whenever he is apart from us. Nijah made the experience comfortable for us by providing updates with photos of our dog at least twice a day. Her communication was great.
