Initial communication was great, and I had high hopes for this service. Two weeks prior to the transport date I was contacted and told that the driver's transmission blew. I was left to constantly follow up on my own to see if an alternate solution would be provided. We were then subcontracted to another company, at which point all communication with Jungle Buddies terminated. My dog was injured as a result of the transport, it is unclear during which leg of the trip this occurred. The second company had 2 drivers ultimately, due to the first's driver having car trouble. His brother stepped in to complete the trip. Upon delivery my dog had a wound on his body that was not there when he was handed to the driver. Sierrah completed ghosted us and did not respond to any texts or emails following the fact that we were passed onto Big Truth Transport. I feel that since the initial contract was signed with Jungle Buddies, the lack of communication is disrespectful. Corky from Big Truth was much more communicative and at least tried to make things right after my dog's traumatic experience.

My situation involved a pet transport of 2 cats, and an apartment move. We had some issues with getting a trailer of the right size so I had to leave behind a fair amount of my belongings in my apartment. A lot of things left behind could've fit in the pickup truck with better organization. Dressers were laid flat on their backs inside of on the sides, and I was told there was no space for stuff like a bag of blankets, standing fan, etc. Looking back I was stressed and in a rush but it could have worked, which is disappointing. She brought along a friend to help move and I will say they were very fast in loading everything and they were nice, but I also paid for an apartment move and pet transport and my apartment is still full of things I didn't get to take. As for the pet transport, which is GyspysPets speciality, I was disappointed. On their bio, it says they use a Honda Element, but they arrived in a pickup truck. Because I was moving, some of my items went in the back of the truck with my cats so there wasn't too much space for them, but things happen and I understand, so I don't hold that against them. However, the transporter brought her dog, and although the dog seemed well tempered, it was already stressful for my cats to be traveling so far, but they've never been around a dog before, so their first time taking a long distance trip they were with a dog, and I wasn't told at all beforehand that her dog would be coming along. I didn't receive any GPS updates, just a few videos. Upon delivery of my cats, one of them had a piece of curly hair or something, kind of looked like a cotton ball fiber (not sure what it was from) in his eye and it was red and watering. My other cat had a completely soiled bottom and feet, probably from diarrhea, as well as a patch of fur missing from his noise straight down to the skin. I don't know how either of these things happened, but I was never told about any of them, I only found out when I took them out of their carriers. I was also never told before or during booking that deposit was required upon pickup, I was told when she arrived, which was a little unprofessional. They were nice, but I've used citizenshipper in the past for both pet transport and household moves so I was really disappointed in this experience. Overall, I was given the impression that I was an inconvenience and didn't really have priority because they had something else to do afterwards, which I feel was reflected in the service I received, both with my cats and my move. If I could do it all over again, I would go with someone else.

I was looking for someone to drive our cat from Omaha, NE to Coos Bay, OR. Angela from Exodus reached out to me with a bid to ship my cat and guaranteed that she would pick him up on 8-22-23, the day before our flight, so we could arrive around the same time. On the 22nd, I called Angela to ask what time she would be by to pickup Shadow, because we had a lot of last minute things to take care of before the flight. She didn't answer the first message nor the second nor any 4 calls we made throughout the day to get ahold of her. We reviewed the website instructions about how it is normal to wait up to 12 hours to be contacted by a driver, so we thought all is well and she would probably just be arriving to Omaha very late that night. At 6:52 pm Central Time, Angela called and sounded very disoriented. She wasn't sure if our pet was a boy or a girl or a dog or a cat. She kept saying that she would help us get our baby and that she wouldn't be by that night to pick him up because she was using the day to plan her other routes and she would be by on that Friday at the latest. I became very alarmed because this is very different than the guarantee Angela gave me in writing the day that I sent her half the cost of the trip upfront. I told Angela that we had a flight out the next day at 9am and how this change of plans might have been avoided had she reached out ahead of time about her scheduling day. She said that she would pick up Shadow by that Friday at the latest. She suggested we find a sitter from Rover.com to watch him for an indeterminate amount of time until she could pick him up. I became very suspicious at this suggestion. I am glad that I did not do Rover.com like she suggested, because she never came by our neighbor's apartment to pick him up. On 8-24-23, Angela called both myself and my neighbors that were watching my cat asking for the first half of the trip fee again. My neighbors knew that I had already paid the fee and refused to send her the money. When she reached out to me for the money, I sent her a screenshot of the payment in Zelle and confirmed that it was sent to the phone number Angela texted me over the Citizen Shipper messages. The tone of the messages changed. She asked what my last name was and I gave it to her. She then asked for my phone number to refund the money back to me as she suddenly needed to cancel the trip. She said that she was unable to log into her account and could not help me. I told her that I understood if the trip is no longer possible and sent a refund request to her on Zelle. The last I heard from Amgela, she said that she will get my refund to me in 2-5 business days. This entire interaction was very odd. Especially as I had to pay a large booking fee to Citizen Shipper in order to connect to this person. All I know is that she has used at least 3 different phone numbers to contact me, changed plans without notice, and did not sound all that coherent on the phone. I am out $550 between the Citizen Shipper fees and the money that Angela is wrongfully keeping. Shadow is still with the neighbors and I am so glad that I didn't use Rover.com like Angela suggested, or we would have lost him completely. I am distraught and heartbroken that we were scammed. Buyer beware of Exodus and possibly the rest of the shippers on here. This was my first time using Citizen Shipper and I would go so far to say that I not only do not recommend this site, I actually plan to spend effort warning others against using it as well. We were desperate and they used our love of our pet to scam us.

Since we didn’t have set an exact day- either Sat or Sun, I expected a call on Friday with details of the day and there was a bit of lack of communication about exact time/date of pick up and a bit of a short notice to set up travel plans for Saturday, which in my case was not an issue but I’d recommend a bit of a faster reply for trip plans as it would be helpful for others who might not be as flexible as I am:) I’m giving this company 5 stars because as soon as my cat was picked up the communication was great, I got updates along the way and the delivery of a happy cat is a fact!
