Hello! My name is Sky, short for Skylar. I am the owner of Mesquite Creek Kennels & Transport, a family-owned pet care and professional transportation business based in Alabama and serving families nationwide. Animals have been a major part of my personal and professional life for years. I have 6 years of veterinary field experience, including general practice and emergency care. In addition to professional pet transportation, I own a K9 boarding business and am an experienced Presa Canario breeder. My background has given me extensive hands-on experience with puppies, adult dogs, cats, giant breeds, nervous travelers, and animals requiring additional patience or special handling. I offer both professional ground transportation and personal flight nanny services, giving families and breeders options based on their pet, location, timeline, and budget. No matter how your baby travels with me, my priority is always the same: safe, clean, comfortable, compassionate care from pickup to delivery. ✈️ PERSONAL FLIGHT NANNY SERVICES Need your baby home a little faster? I personally offer flight nanny services throughout the United States. When eligible under airline requirements, your pet travels in-cabin with me in an airline-approved carrier and remains under my supervision throughout the journey. I coordinate with both the sender and receiver regarding pickup, airport arrangements, flights, and delivery. Updates are provided throughout the trip so everyone knows their baby is safe and cared for. Flight nanny pricing varies based on airfare, airports, routing, ground transportation, overnight accommodations when necessary, and other travel expenses. Payment is due IN FULL at booking. Because airfare can change quickly, your flight nanny reservation and itinerary are not secured until payment has been received and travel arrangements have been booked. 🚐 PROFESSIONAL GROUND TRANSPORT I offer both shared and private/VIP ground transportation. During your pet’s journey: ♡ Food & Water: Fresh water is provided throughout transport, and food is offered according to age, normal feeding schedule, and individual needs. Some animals eat normally while traveling, while others may temporarily eat less due to the excitement or stress of travel. ♡ Potty & Comfort Breaks: Adult, appropriately vaccinated animals receive regular potty and stretch breaks, generally every 3–5 hours depending on the animals on board, weather, traffic, and travel conditions. ♡ NO PAWS ON PUBLIC GROUND: Young puppies that are not fully vaccinated do not touch public ground during transport. This is non-negotiable. Parvo and other contagious diseases can be present even when an area looks clean. Puppies are provided with a sanitary potty area within their individual travel space that is cleaned and changed as needed. No gas station grass, rest areas, hotel pet areas, or other high-traffic public animal areas for young puppies. Their health is more important than convenience. ♡ Cleanliness: Accidents happen! Crates, bedding, and potty areas are cleaned and changed as necessary. If your baby needs a little extra cleanup along the way, I take care of it. Keeping passengers clean, dry, and comfortable is part of the job. ♡ Photos, Videos & Updates: Updates are provided throughout the journey, with more detailed photo/video updates typically sent morning and evening. This allows me to keep families informed while remaining focused on safe driving and caring for the animals on board. ♡ Communication: My phone stays on throughout transport. However, I will not text while driving. Responses may also be delayed while caring for another passenger or during required rest periods. If something is truly urgent, please call. ♡ And don’t forget LOTS OF LOVE! Every animal entrusted to me is treated with patience, compassion, and respect. ⏰ PICKUP & DELIVERY WINDOWS Ground transportation includes an estimated pickup and delivery window rather than an exact guaranteed time. Transport is much more than simply driving. Traffic, construction, weather, fuel stops, meals, potty breaks, animal care, and necessary driver rest can all affect a route. Animals are handled individually during stops whenever appropriate, which takes additional time but helps keep passengers separated and reduces unnecessary stress. I move as efficiently as possible, but I will never sacrifice safety to meet an estimated arrival time. Unfortunately, my van has wheels, not wings… That’s what the flight nanny service is for! 😉✈️ 🩺 HEALTH & VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS The health of every animal traveling with me is extremely important. Animals must meet all applicable age-appropriate vaccination, veterinary health, airline, state, and federal travel requirements for their journey. Adult dogs should be current on appropriate vaccinations, including DHPP (Distemper/Parvo), Rabies, and Bordetella. Puppies must have all vaccinations appropriate for their age. Veterinary documentation and/or a health certificate may be required depending on age, destination, method of transportation, airline requirements, and applicable regulations. Any known illness, recent exposure to contagious disease, medication, medical condition, behavioral concern, or special care requirement must be disclosed before transport. ⭐ PRIVATE/VIP TRANSPORT Private/VIP ground transportation is available for clients who prefer a dedicated trip for their pet rather than a shared route. Because the route, mileage, time, fuel, and accommodations are dedicated specifically to your pet, VIP transportation is priced differently from shared transportation. Please ask for a personalized quote. 🐾 REACTIVE & SPECIAL-HANDLING DOGS Thanks to my veterinary and animal-handling background, I have experience with fearful, reactive, nervous, and difficult-to-handle dogs. Behavioral concerns do not automatically prevent me from transporting your pet. However, all known aggression, bite history, reactivity, or special handling requirements MUST be disclosed before booking. A $100 special-handling/aggressive pet fee may apply when additional precautions are required. Honesty is extremely important for the safety of your pet, myself, and everyone involved. 💳 BOOKING & PAYMENT CitizenShipper’s booking fees are separate from the transportation fees charged by Mesquite Creek Kennels & Transport and are handled through the CitizenShipper platform. ALL transportation services must be paid IN FULL at the time of booking. This includes: • Shared ground transportation • Private/VIP ground transportation • Flight nanny services Your reservation and dates are not secured until payment has been received in full. All clients are also required to review and sign the Mesquite Creek Kennels & Transport Agreement prior to transportation. The agreement will be provided electronically by text or email. Travel may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside of my control, including weather, traffic, road closures, airline delays/cancellations, mechanical issues, and other unforeseen circumstances. Communication will be provided as soon as safely possible.
