Good communication, but the morning of the shipment he messaged claiming of a medical issue and cancelled, which cost me multiple thousands of dollars to take time off of work, buy same day airfare, and rent a car one way to do the delivery myself. If it was a real medical problem I hope he is well, but I saw at least one other reviewer with this issue. I normally would leave it at that, but he marked the delivery as complete which is completely false.

We had the best experience with Pounce and Play! Both Sharon and Bree were so kind and helped everything move smoothly throughout the whole process. My family rescued 3 pups from a high kill shelter in California. We encountered obstacle after obstacle and Sharon and Bree went out of their way to help us through every single one and ensured our pups would get here safely. Sharon picked up our pups and sent us updates constantly! She not only was amazing to us, she was absolutely incredible to them. She loved on every single one them the whole way home. We adopted a dog from a shelter out of state and needed a transport for him to Colorado. We reached out to Better Late Than Never, asking if it was possible to pick him up towards the end of the week. They said yes, so we accepted the bid. When we asked when we could expect him to arrive they told us Sunday, 9/10, or Monday, 9/11. They also said they would be sending us a contract. The contract never arrived and we asked daily for it to be sent for a week. Being in a desperate situation to get the dog to us and having paid the booking fee we continuously reached out for updates on a timeline and a contract. They repeatedly said that they were going to send and we did not receive. When I asked about pick up they now said Sunday, 9/10, the date the estimated we would receive him. Going into the weekend we kept asking for a contract, being in a desperate situation with the timeline in which we needed our dog picked up I went ahead and sent the money via CashApp on Saturday 9/9. We became very nervous late Saturday night after zero communication. On Sunday, the day of pickup, we did not hear from them all day. After multiple attempts at contact they let us know they had vehicle trouble and were at least 24 hours behind. They also said once again they would send the contract and would be better about communication with the timeline. A few hours went by and we heard no updates. Our dog had to be picked up by the next day so we sought out another transport company that picked him up the next morning and delivered the same day. We inquired about a refund due to lack of contract, lack of communication, and lack of service. They have gone completely radio silent and we are now having to look at further action to receive our money back. Thankfully most of our communication was through text messages and on the citizen shipper app. I would not recommend booking with them. I understand that things happen but there is no excuse for the complete lack of communication. I very foolishly sent the money without a contract or assurances of time of pickup out of desperation to get our pup home. There was another review similar to mine that has since been removed so this situation does not seem unique to our family.

Chris and Angie are so kind and efficient. They were extremely flexible with my schedule and my budget. Even though I wasn’t aware I had to inform they would be transporting crates as well as the dogs, they made it work so that my dogs were still safe and comfortable. They kept me updated on when they would arrive for pickup. They were willing and did drive through the night so I was able to see my dogs the next afternoon. They sent me pictures. They took them out to go potty. My dogs were extremely happy when they arrived. They helped me unload the dogs stuff into where I’m staying. Esmeralda WELL exceeded my expectations of using a puppy transport service!!! I had my seventeen year old son's, nine week old Basset Hound puppy (Kiwi) transported from New Mexico to Maine. Not only was Esmeralda extremely responsive to my request with same day transport, she allowed for the negotiation of establishing her transport service to be a breeze!! Although I had never used a transport service prior, my knowledge, and expectations were never a source for contention with Esmeralda! She was extremely patient, and very forthcoming with her responses and information regarding the service she offers, and how the process works. Esmeralda truly provided Kiwi the VIP transport I had requested; which entailed that Kiwi would never touch the ground, and be a solo transport. I also requested Kiwi's eating, drinking, and bathroom habits be reported to me a long the way. Esmeralda exceeded all my requests, and expectations! Esmeralda upon pickup immediately shared her GPS tracking information with me directly, and throughout the transport ensured I still had access to her live location. More checkboxes met! Esmeralda's communication regarding the weather and travel information / state arrivals / puppy personality and updates / 51 puppy photos and 13 videos allowed me to rest at ease, and truly feel as though I was with them during their 13 state journey. The day before Kiwi was scheduled to arrive per Esmeralda's transport timeframe, I needed to travel out of my home state for work. I requested to meet along her route, Esmeralda without hesitation, or contemplation quickly agreed; and stated for me to let her know the easiest location for me! I couldn't have asked, or dreamed of a kinder response to my request! The compassion, and dedication Esmeralda offered Kiwi and my family far surpassed my expectations! Two days after Esmeralda brought Kiwi to me, she checked in to see how we were doing, and even asking how my son was fairing with his new responsibility! Again, more and more unexpected checkboxes met! I would, and will ONLY use Esmeralda to transport any other fur munchkins that we are blessed to share our home and lives with! I have, and would highly recommend Esmeralda to anyone who is looking for the best care and attention for their fur munchkin(s)!!!

Better Late than Never has truly gone above and beyond when it comes to the care of my animals during their transport journey. I have had the pleasure of using this transport for several of my animals including Guinea pigs all the way up to Great Danes and not once have I been disappointed. I can’t believe I’m leaving this 5 months later but I am because she deserves it! Elena had to reschedule due to an emergency but she went above and beyond to bring my puppy to me. She kept in touch the whole time (8 hours of travel with my puppy) and though I didn’t request or pay for it, my puppy was the only one being transported. When she arrived, she had her in the most comfortable car seat I’ve ever seen for a puppy. She kept her close when she was nervous and loved on her through tons of NYC traffic. She has all the certifications and qualifications required even taking extra courses that most don’t and they aren’t cheap. I highly recommend her and am only sorry it took me so long to come here to review. I can not say enough about the rescue. Our family literally has been through so much the last 9 days. My sister passed away unexpectedly, leaving her mini golden retriever service dog alone with no one to care for it.. For a temporary basis the dog was at her ex-husband’s house in a room just lock there but he ended up in the hospital with a flesh eating disease. Their youngest daughter was afraid she was going to have to rehome the dog because we couldn’t get it to Rhode Island fast enough but, when I contacted the rescue, not only did they say they could grab her in 20 mins but that she’s arrive the next day. My 22 year old niece was so relieved she didn’t have to put her moms dog in a shelter. Due to things going on with her dad she was unable to make the 20 minutes to have Rosie picked up. They told us it wasn’t a problem came an hour later. I got a FaceTime call on the exchange, photos of them walking dogs, and feeding them. We really felt like an Angel had been sent to us.
