Absolutely awful! She dragged the whole way. Stopped at her home which was totally out of the way from destination with my rescue puppy after already spending the night in her truck. Considering the transport was about 10 hours total there was no reason to spend night in her vehicle then stop at her home to eat, meet with friends! And expose my rescue dog with other puppies that were sick at her home. Taking a huge risk of getting our 4 month old sick before arriving at her adopters home that has other doggies as well. Would not recommend her even for a free transport. Gave me stories about rough life she's had...which has no bearing on my transport and telling me she doesn't work for me but works with me. No you were hired by me to do a job and you shouldn't make things difficult for customers using your services. And when I stated I wanted my dog to arrive at her new home...her response was she'll have the rest of her life to be with them just to rationalize her not getting my baby to her new home in a reasonable amount of time! Well, I understand now why he has a 5-star rating! Truly an inspirational man with a huge heart, a tremendous talent for driving and more importantly I think he's a pet whisperer. Our dogs just loved him - one of them doesn't love anyone but her immediate family. He started his trip off by getting down on their level and waiting until they came to him. Simple approach and they knew quickly that he was one of the good ones. His communication was top notch and he was very accommodating. I will say, he was not the cheapest of my bids but after reading reviews (that were just like mine) I decided to spend the extra money and it was worth every penny! I am very, very cautious about giving less than a 5 star review for anyone. Read my review, but also talk to JoDee. She is very kind. The mistakes that happened when JoDee transported our two dogs might not have caused problems 99 times out of 100. And they might have happened to anyone. She has likely done many successful transports without anything going wrong. Only this time, something did go wrong. I was very clear that my two dogs were to be transported in their crates at all times. They were not transported in their crates at all times. One of my dogs escaped. Luck was with us. He escaped in a safe area. He returned, (many hours later), to the place he was lost and I was there to get him. But if he had been in his crate, he would not have slipped out the car door unseen. If he had been in a crate, JoDee would have noticed he was missing much sooner. To JoDee's credit, she spent many hours searching for my dog on foot. She was apologetic and kind. She did everything she could to get him back, but he was spooked and must have been hiding. JoDee had to leave before my dog was found. Did she bring my dogs across the 99% country safely? Yes. Did something go wrong in the last hour of the drive? Also yes. Was JoDee appropriately diligent and kind in the aftermath of losing my dog? Yes. Could this have all been avoided if my dogs had been crated? Also yes. I think JoDee is hardworking and well-meaning. I think most people transport their dogs the way she did: with the dogs loose in the car, making good time, stopping for lots of walks, and keeping the owner posted on where they are. I don't think this mistake will ever happen to JoDee again. If anything, she is probably a safer transporter for having had this experience.

Brian worked with a price for me which I appreciated. I thought he was being overly communicative when it came to delays, but it seemed to be one thing after the other when it came to picking up my dog Bailey. He was supposed to pick her up on June 28th, then something happened, said that maybe his wife would make it, something happened with his wife’s vehicle, and so on. I was going out of town so I had to find someone to sit Bailey because I got an update saying that they would pick her up on Sunday or Monday. Followed up and that changed to Thursday 7/6. I followed up that morning and got an estimate time of 4:30 pm and then I got a text about something happened with his wife’s car again. That he isn’t in the area anymore so he wouldn’t be able to pick her up that I could get a refund or wait until his wife’s car is fixed or after he drops a boat off and heads back this way. I have to find another person to pick up Bailey , but now I am getting the run around about a refund that he said he would be giving me. That he has to wait until his wife gets home to get the debit card to put money in the account because it’s an account that they don’t use, etc. so I think i am now out of money because it doesn’t seem like I will be getting a refund from them. I’ve texted Brian multiple times asking when I would be receiving a refund and he has not responded to me.

Booking with Heather was initially easy. She was able to work within a budget and answered all my questions. Pickup was set to be June 27th and drop off was set to be June 30th. Pickup was pushed back to June 30th and drop off was not until 4:30am on July 5th. The next week was full of anxiety, excuses for delay (which ultimately was other transports that were not disclosed upon booking), lies, and aggression from Heather. Heather rarely took accountability for delays that are 100% avoidable, but happened due to her own poor planning. She complains about sleep and travel costs, as if she does not make her own schedule. She will call you out of your name for questioning her practices or asking for explicit updates on locations of your pets (lesson learned: USE AN AIRTAG). She travels with a man, her partner I assumed but this is not listed on her profile, who drives at-least a portion of these trips. He was in the driver's seat upon the 4:30am drop off. They actively sped (80-100mph) with my babies in her car, this was noted once I was finally able to track their location using a provided app from Heather halfway through their trip. I am currently working with Citizen Shipper to refund this matching fee and investigate the entire trip, as my dogs are still traumatized and my property for them has been damaged/taken. The following outline will be on her Yelp Page for her LLC, on her Facebook Page for her LLC, and on her Citizen Shipper Platform page, with pictures of her being unprofessional via text and of her speeding patterns from her location tracking apps. DO NOT BOOK WITH HER unless you’re okay with spending hundreds of dollars on bad service, not getting the desired pick-up/drop-off times, not knowing where your pets are, being called out of your name, and having to spend even more days trying to un-traumatize your pet. *** All communication was conducted via text. *** June 19th: I tried to confirm my pets pickup time on 6/27, but was told she could tell me closer to when she arrived. June 22: I offered a pickup date 6/27 (in the evening) or the morning of 6/28 instead. She said that 6/28 worked “perfect.” June 25: Heather asked if she could do the pickup on the evening of 6/28. I asked how late due to a flight scheduled for my family’s move, informing her the latest pickup time I could do would be 4pm to make my 7pm flight. She stated she could do before 7, and “try her very best” before 4pm. I told her the latest I could do would be 5:30pm on 6/28 and to let me know if I should make other arrangements for my babies, such as seeing if a friend could pop over to do pickup. She then stated a family’s flight delay and a traffic accident delayed her schedule. This was a huge red flag to me, but it was only 3 days before a cross country move. I asked my sister (1 hour from original pickup location) if she could dogsit and drop off; Heather approved (and appreciated) the pickup location change to accommodate the delays and stated she would still be able to get them on the evening of 6/28. I gave her my sister's address and contact information to make the actual pickup easier. The morning of June 27th: Heather asked if she could instead pick up my pets the morning of 6/30 (the drop off date) since they would be with my sister. Before I could answer, she quickly recanted and said she would be on her way. I confirmed if the pickup date of 6/28 would work and I said I would ask my sister if she could watch my babies for longer (she stated she needed sleep). Heather said 6/28 would work and stated she overslept and would start driving to what I assumed would be my pick up location in the next 3-4 hours. The evening of June 27th: I double checked to confirm my babies’ pickup time and stated since they would be at my sister’s that they would have food, crates, and beds/extra items needed for transport to accommodate the delay. I also asked Heather’s anticipated arrival time for 6/28, since my sister would have to move her own schedule around to accommodate this favor. Heather only stated “I will get them.” I again asked for an ETA to plan a seamless pickup. Heather avoided answering this question again. I asked a third time for an ETA; Heather stated she had another transport then would drive to my pickup location. She gave an 8 hour driving window to the first drop off then to my pick-up location. For the fourth time I asked for clarification of a time; calculating 8 hours plus the time to my location for a tentative drop-off at 5pm on 6/28. She said that’s a fine estimate but she could give a more accurate one after drop-off of the other pet. Morning of June 28th: Heather sent a message saying “16hrs”. I asked if this was how long it would be until my pets’ pickup time, listing that it would be 11pm on 6/28. She said maybe later, sending pictures of an auto shop and stated there was car troubles from a rental car. I told her I would keep my sister abreast of the issues. Afternoon of June 28th: Heather asked if she could pick my pets up on 6/30; claiming another transport needed to fly out of the country. I agreed, after clearing it with my sister. Trying to be understanding of the delays and the urgency of her last transport before mine. Morning of June 30th: I asked Heather of her ETA, she claims she spoke to my sister and agreed on a different day (7/1) as the pickup. I called her out stating how inappropriate it is to try and change their pickup date without my approval. I stated that I’ve been very accommodating and understanding, but her actions were wrong. This is when her mask came off. She started ranting about driving requiring sleeping, how she thought it was okay because it’s my sister who currently still had my babies 2-3 days after pickup, how I needed to understand this is “just how things are,” how she has multiple transportations stacked on top of the other and that she would head to get the my pets later that evening (the evening of June 30th). I rebutted that this was not clearly communicated with me and that I would like to discuss remedy this upon arrival; since this was not the service I paid for. I asked for clarity around their arrival time, which would now be July 4th. Heather claimed things were outside of her control. Anxiously, I tried to confirm my babies’ arrival date and if there would be more pet transports that could possibly further delay. Heather in turn ranted about costs of gas for transportation, how she can’t do solo rides and sleep. I noted that all of these topics are her responsibility to plan around. Heather still claimed it’s all “outside of her control” and rudely says “now she has to drive” as a method of shutting my questions out. I asked again if she could confirm the 4th of July is my babies’ ETA. Hours later she confirmed. Morning of July 1: I messaged Heather to confirm her arrival time to pick up my pets. Heather claimed another accident with casualties caused a delay. I searched around the area from FL to NC (her supposed path) for accidents; there weren't any. I asked where the accident was; she proceeded to send a screenshot of an accident in CT (effectively passing my pets pickup location, and lying about her path.) I didn’t even bother asking her why she lied instead of saying another pickup was happening. I just questioned if there will be more transportations between my pets drop off date. She replied there would be one pickup and drop off. I was upset and asked what the tentative plan was for travel since she will have my pets and she’s claimed to see several accidents upon her intended route. Heather gave the same reasonings for delay, that her vacation was gone because of these delays, and apologized for it but said they’re “outside her control”. I simply asked for confirmation that there was only the 1 transport while she has my pets. Heathers claimed she didn’t need to tell me anything about other transports by law and that she only needed to tell me when she had my pets their location. Heather then claimed she only told me locations because she was honest. I reiterated that she’s claimed to see several accidents, how frustrating this entire process has been, and I want my pets to safely arrive. Finally at 6pm on 7/1 she got my babies. July 1-4: I was sent pictures around 5 times a day. One day, Heather sent a picture of one of my babies looking wet. She stated she gave her a bath, never answering for the reasoning behind it. I was worried because my baby has skin issues. She used a product that had given my dog issues a year prior; she did not ask for allergies (she thought it was fine since it was a ‘natural shampoo’). I alerted her that this shampoo gave her issues to the point of a steroid shot after application. At this point it was a waiting game to see if a reaction would happen, Heather minimally used this product. She stated she had to drop off her other transport and the new drop off date would be the evening of July 5th. July 5th: I asked Heather her ETA, she replied “15 1/2 hours.” I told her this was unacceptable and asked for her location. She gave a vague answer of “75N” which tells me nothing of where she is with my pets. I told her the timing is not adding up and would equate to her driving minimal hours each day. She denied this, stating she driven 900 miles and “I’m not in my twenties, delays are due to sleep.” She also claimed she’s supposed to be on her next transport. There was back and forth with me stating that delays are understandable and she hasn’t been transparent. She keeps stating sleep and delays are outside of her control. It culminated in me asking for more accurate tracking of my pets since she is not forthcoming with information and that since my pets are older (13 and 14). She then becomes quite passive aggressive; citing people will “be in their feelings' ' and “it takes more to complain than to just be happy.” Heather then states an obscure highway number as her location. I asked for the exact town and state names, she proceeded to give me a highway and state that she was in Florida, that she can’t control my feelings or change time, and if I need more communication to just ask. I stated more transparent communication was needed, that I would also be addressing my concerns with CitizenShipper, and that I wanted a safe/timely return of my pets to not have to escalate this further. Heather went ballistic at this point. She stated she was still in FL, that she doesn’t work for CitizenShipper, called escalation “unbelievable”, and that as long as my pets are safe she would not risk her CDL since she’s “in a vehicle and not a plane”. To avoid further conflict, I just thanked her for a location update and reiterated that I just wanted my pets home safely. She then insults me by saying “as women, we want to be right and she ‘gets that’. She then scolds me, claiming this is not an argument and this is not going “tit for tat” and safety coming first. At this point I have been conversing with CitizenShippers’ customer representative, requesting some form of tracking since she has not been explicit. Heather in turn sent a app that tracks her location and speed. She then proceeds to send text messages for each stop and the reasoning for why. For each message I sent a thank you for the location update. I monitored her location and stops; Heather routinely sped with my pets in the car. She sent a delay message, around 9pm, claiming a crash happened and would push her back at least an hour and a half. At around 11:30pm; Heather messages stating she was 4.5 hours away. I asked her anticipated drop off time; she responded 4:30am. I informed her that this timeframe would not work for me; as I have to be at work at a certain time. Frankly, I am uncomfortable having a stranger at my home at 4:30 in the morning. This is not displayed, but she travels with ( I assume) her husband or partner. I am a young lady so this was a major red flag for me. Heather states she would have driven 900 miles for this last leg of this trip in response. I stated that I would need to do a drop-off time (9:30am) to accommodate my work schedule and a location where I could meet with them. She states she cannot take them and that she did communicate an ETA. I noted that this changed several times and that I am uncomfortable meeting a stranger at such a late time at my home. I urged her to be understanding and accommodating, as her other clients have been during this entire process. Heather claimed that she would “make other arrangements” since I ‘couldn’t wake up for this’ and was upset she wasn’t ‘magically flying’ my dogs to get here. I of course stated I wanted to get my pets, but I also have to maintain a job and schedule, of which she should understand. I questioned twice what “arrangement” she was referring to, as it was now 12 am. She did not answer and stated she would “ be at the address provided.” My assumption was that she would be able to meet at a reasonable hour (9:30 am) at the location provided. I thanked her for being accommodating and stated that the 9:30 am time would work so much better for me. Heather then claimed that I was using reverse psychology, that she had a degree, that I was upset earlier and now won’t get my pets since she has brought them to me, and that she would be bringing them to my home address. I stated there was no reverse psychology, that I was under the assumption that she could be accommodating after explaining the situation with my job, and that I hoped she could understand since the delays have pushed a lot of things out of control. Heather claimed I was being condescending. I told her that being condescending was not my intent and that I could do the pickup at 9:30am. She stated she will be dropping my pets off somewhere at 4:30 am, if not my address then a different location. I asked what she was referring to and if she was threatening to take my dogs elsewhere, since her language in the text was aggressive and she had called me several names at this point (lazy, rude, ridiculous). She did not state where this “location” was when asked, several times. She instead stated “CitizenShipper will know where they are at” and to have a “good night and go to sleep”. I was very worried at this point, because there was no way for me to get in contact with CitizenShipper until their customer service line opened later that day. Leaving my pets somewhere undisclosed for possibly 4-5 hours. I was terrified, worrying about what Heather would do since she was upset. I told her it was heartless to threaten something like that to a pet owner of elderly pets. I then stated I would receive them at any time versus the option she was threatening, as any loving pet parent would. I reiterated several times that I would want to receive my pets at a later time rather than her just leaving my pets anywhere, since she refused to disclose this “other arrangement location.” I finally received my dogs after several back and forth messages of her complaining of delay reasonings being outside of her control and sleep. Ultimately, due to her aggression and concern for my safety since she is traveling with an undisclosed man, I arranged for a courtesy officer to be on-site during the drop off. The drop off was quick and my dogs were traumatized to say the least. My smaller dog was screaming to get out of her crate and my larger dog nearly jumped from the back of Heather's car. Both dogs reeked and were obviously anxious, so much so that I took them to a vet and was prescribed anxiety medicine to relieve some of the symptoms (panting and shaking). My crates that they traveled with were damaged and my larger dog’s bed was never returned. Please keep your babies safe and be mindful of businesses that operate like this.

She also provided GPS information so we could track here and see where they were at any moment.
