Shae was great at communicating and keeping us updated on our Rhodesian Ridgeback. He picked her up and delivered her as he had said he would and sent regular pictures of their pit stops. My boxer had already been picked up by another transport company, but due to having car trouble could not complete the job of getting my boxer from California to Florida:( Paws and Claws went to their house and picked up Jake and finished the job for me, getting him home safe and sound:) They were very professional and sent me pictures and texts the whole time to keep me updated. We used Door to Door Pet Delivery to transport our sweet puppy from California to Texas in early May. Communication with the company was timely and informative. The actual driving team assigned to us, Nicole and Curtis, are exceptional. They began communicating via text the evening before pick up to confirm details, as well as letting us know that the pick up time was going ahead as planned. It was a relief to receive this communication. From the moment of pick up, they continued to contact us via text, with lots of pictures, as well as a link with their GPS location. It was obvious they were getting to know our puppy from the feedback they provided during the trip, and that they were taking good care of her. They worked hard to get our puppy home safely and on-time. We're very appreciative!

Absolutely 5 stars. I was so nervous as we had never done anything like this before, and of course, our pups are our babies! From the moment I booked there was consistent and prompt communication. Pick up was smooth and in the time window they advised, and the trip began! From the moment they had our pups there was communication of location pins, and real time videos of them at their stops, in the van , etc. We never worried and knew we could text with any concerns and would get a response instantly. Drop off was just as easy and they complimented on how well our dogs did. They are spoiled pups and they enjoyed their adventure! My furbabies had quite the adventure! We relocated from Hawaii to Virginia and it wasn’t an easy move, especially because I have a frenchie. Getting him to the mainland was hard enough. The Backyard Barkers made everything so easy. I couldn’t drive cross country so I had to find someone who would take my frenchie and 2 cats from Las Vegas to Virginia. They transported all 3 of my babies for me and oh boy did they have an adventure of a lifetime. I was sent pictures and updates multiple times a day. It took longer than normal for my babies to arrive due to weather, accidents on the road (not them) delaying them and a flat tire. They constantly let me know. And I never had to worry about my furbabies because I could see from the pictures how well cared for they were. My frenchie even cuddled up and slept with them. One thing I loved and truly appreciated, was the fact that they stopped a dog parks to let the dogs get exercise and run off energy. I would 10 out of 10 recommend them and would absolutely book with them again. My babies arrived happy and well cared for. Thank you so much Backyard Barkers!

They are amazing!! My golden retriever has terrible car anxiety and they catered to her well!! It made a stressful trip a little bit less stressful. There were many points where they just had to stop at a hotel just so that she had a break from her travels. Her stool was super runny because of the anxiety she had and they even went out of their way to get her some pumpkin in an attempt to make it solid!! You honestly can't go wrong with them, the thing I loved the most was the fact that my puppy LOVES getting dirty and she did exactly that...they gave her baths!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They tried their best to make sure she was clean but it was raining a ton and she just can't help herself. You can't go wrong with them at all, and I'm glad I trusted them with my puppy!

DO NOT USE Rodney. He was great about getting back to you at first. I text him to confirm a pick up time a week before and he told me he was not sure if he was going to be able to pick up my dogs due to a "van shortage." It was excuse after excuse. He would not give me my deposit back either and said I would have to wait 30-45 days. I repeat, DO NOT USE THIS GUY!!! What an AWFUL scam this guy is. He doesn't even deserve one star.

Nick was excellent from the first phone call to the communication throughout the travel of our fur babies to the arrival. Our pets were comfortable with him 5 minutes after the first meet and greet. They stopped every 4hrs. He sent pictures as well. Would recommend him to anyone needing to transport there pets. Will use him again if we every need to move again. Extremely professional experience. They agreed to meet at a neutral point, provided leashes & bowls. Zeus, my puppy, was given multiple chances to play and exercise. They also made sure he had his blanket when he got to his destination. Extremely accommodating, kind & helpful. They replied to every single one of my hundred questions and didn't flinch. They encouraged me to engage with them and even take pictures of their vehicle & them for safety precautions. Excellent experience all the way around. My pet got here safe and sound with good treatment and safe accommodations…that is the good part. The not so good part, they missed pick up and didn’t inform me until the very last minute. They originally tried to change my pick up date and I said no; then conveniently their car broke down late Friday night (supposed to pick up at 9am Saturday) and they couldn’t make the run until Monday AM (the date they tried to shuffle me to the prior week). Don’t feel good about that at all. They told me to try and find someone else in Citizen or wait until they could do it —which was obviously not the agreed upon arrangement. When I was forced to agree to their new terms, I told them I had a vet appt at 530 for the animal and they promised early AM pick up to accommodate (730-9am)—this should have given them plenty of time to make the only 5 hour drive to my house—-they rolled in at exactly 5:10pm—8 hours after pick up making me miss the appt. They gave me a small discount for my inconvenience— I understand things happen but their reasons were sketchy and it was unacceptable that on the heels of missing the pickup Friday that they would not make sure they got here by 4 PM as promised. And no; they never let the goat out so it wasn’t for potty breaks
