Don’t think twice about booking DC Smith pet transport they are absolutely wonderful you could not ask for a better pet transport. They transported my little barely 1 pound Chihuahua puppy Louie. They picked him up early from his breeder and drove him straight 16 hours to me so he wouldn’t have to be on the road any longer than needed. Play stay in contact with me the whole time had GPS tracking sent me videos and pictures and text me to let me know how he was doing. I was very worried about transporting Louie with him being so tiny. But the constant communication made me feel at ease what a awesome service they provide I am more than satisfied.

Initially contact was very good. Payment in full was asked up front, which should have been a sign. A week before the scheduled pickup all contact ceased and the pick up of my dog did not happen. I can't say why contact ceased or what happened but there was no notice of cancelation so that I could arrange other plans. At this point I am attempting to get my money back, but again there is no contact. I can't say 100% not to work with this shipper, just beware.

When we found we couldn't fly our new pup from our Arz. breederTo NH my husband looked at reviews, recommendations and we were in a tight spot since we couldn't fly our pup out because of the heat. The Good: Our pup arrived healthy, safe, and sound. When we first contacted your company we were given a specific day for pup pickup. We received a phone call pickup would be delayed due to transportation problems and vehicle exchange. The pickup was delayed by several days. Then pickup time was changed daily due to weather or traffic. We never received a schedule for est. amount of stops of pickup or delays. Understanding the current costs of gas and influx of road deliveries had increased, along with airlines declining shipments due to heat waves. Our breeders location was difficult to get to and they did not provide the pups health cert. nor pup documentation, including food. But Cindy pulled it through. Once our pup was on her way we got a call and picture of our pup. After that we expected the driver would contact the driver us on a daily bases. We had expected a 6-7 day shipment time. During that time estimated arrival changed on a daily bases. Estimated date was on Sunday but futher delays caused an addtional day and a half delivery. Room for improvement: 1. A schedule of planned stops/times, with the understanding notifications would be made asap for changes. This openness would help lessen anxiety on both sides. 2. The company should be the in-between for schedule and itinerary changes this would take pressure off the driver and customer. 3. Daily pictures and health reports are essential to lessen customer anxiety. Overall Accesment: It was a first time ground delivery for us. There were many complications outside everyones control. I believe Cindy handled and took care of our pups needs under difficult challenges. We did give her a tip and was glad she was so patient with our pup on her trip from Arz. to NH. She helped us name our new pup and helped in his create training.
