Where to begin? I accepted a position at work here in Washington and was thrilled to have my dogs join me. 3 weeks later, after realizing that I would be working 10 to 14 hour days, I decided that my dogs would be better off back at home with my mother. Enter citizen shipper. When my mom first told me, I was very skeptical. I didn’t want my dogs away from me, let alone with someone I didn’t know. Douglas messaged my mom with a quote and she brought it to my attention. But again, I was still skeptical. After chatting with Douglas and deciding to choose him, I was still uneasy about my decision. These were my dogs. My prides and joy. And I’m just suppose to trust someone with them? Well it turns out, I could not have chosen a better individual. Not only did Douglas take the time to spend with my mother at the hotel letting the dogs get used to him, he answered my texts anytime I texted him from feeling uneasy. And not only did he answer my texts, but he sent me photos of my pups on their journey. Never once did he get upset or angry about my constant texting(and I assure you, it was a lot), he responded with kindness and generosity that is hard to find in the world today. My pups made it home today, and I finally realized that from the moment Douglas sent a message to my mom offering his services, I had nothing to worry about. My dogs were going to be in the greatest hands outside of my own that I could ask for. If any of you out there decide to ship your animals home and your lucky enough to see a message from Doug offering his services, rest assured you have nothing to worry about. From the moment he takes possession of your animals, they become his family. And I couldn’t be happier knowing that I had chosen him to take my dogs on this journey. My Bassett Hound knew from the beginning that Douglas is a gentle, kind human being. And the fact that my Shepherd didn’t try to get away gives me even more faith that he is the right man for the job. So to Douglas, a million thanks to you. My family and I relocated from Massachusetts to Florida. We had no idea how we were going to transport three cats a little over 1000 miles found five star pet relocation located in Carver which was close to us. Fantastic service and fantastic people. Few minutes right after I booked with them , Risa the owner contacted me and explained everything. On pick up day Marshall, her driver was on time and was super sweet and helpful. He sent me notes along the way with photos telling me exactly how my cats were doing. Cannot recommend these folks enough!

BEWARE. Victoria may claim to like animals but she is not honest or trustworthy. I caught her in so many lies and she would not tell me where my dog Maggie was so I felt like I was in a kidnapping situation. Before pickup I asked Victoria three questions: 1.) how many other animals would she be transporting, 2.) would she be making other stops, and 3.) whether she provided tracking. She responded (I have texts and messages here on Citizenshipper) that she would only have "two other puppies and a piglet", she would be making one stop in ID, and she would set up tracking. I went ahead and scheduled with her and took Maggie my dog to the vet the morning she was to be picked up because she gets stressed and pants heavily on long car rides. She had never been in a car longer than 90 minutes. The vet prescribed Cerenia for her and said it was always good to have on hand, especially if the ride was going to be 30 hrs. Portland to Austin. Victoria arrived a few hours later 7/28 at 12:30pm with her wife, two teenagers, and 3 dogs in a rented minivan. They were smashed in there like sardines and I felt badly for both the kids and the pets. My gut told me not to let Maggie go with her but Victoria assured me it they could make it work. She had her wife share their location from her iPhone. Day 1 seemed to go smoothly and they sent me a few pictures. Based on tracking they stayed the night in ID, which made sense. On Day 3, I was surprised to see they were in IOWA which is nowhere on the route to TX. I texted her to ask why there were so far east and whether they would be making any other stops and her only response was, "We went to mt. Rushmore." So I asked her again directly, "Do you have any other stops or drop offs between today and TX?" Then she came back with, "Yes I have to drop off my girlfriend off her dad has been rushed to the hospital" and "I'm dropping her off in Florida around 6am then im going to sleep and drive to you." So now Maggie is on across-country family vacation and tagging along on a supposed "family tragedy". I said I was sympathetic to her situation but could she drop down and bring Maggie to Austin before she went to FL because that is a huge detour. She responded, "I know im sorry she is historical i havet to get her to her dad." Then she stopped responding all together. I tracked them late into the night to Nashville, TN. In the morning, tracking was turned off and when I texted the girlfriend she showed me she was in FL and no longer with Victoria. Based on the review from Gage Jenkins earlier today, his dog was the one picked up from ID. The dog was dropped off in GEORGIA before they actually headed to FL. So it's apparent that this was the planned route all along. What happened to informed consent? Why not be honest about your route and let me decide whether MY dog could go on that trip? I highly doubt there was any family sickness at all, just in her own head. She refused to send her location claiming she couldn't from her Android so I sent her how to do it though she I'm sure she knew. To give her the benefit of the doubt, I said she could alternatively send me a quick screenshots. Her reply was, "I will not be treated like a child sending hourly screen shots of anything...my father in law had a massive heart attack." I felt like my dog had been kidnapped. When she finally responded 23 hrs. later, she said she'd be arriving late Sunday at 1:30AM, I told her I would've never let my dog go with her without tracking because that was sketchy. She proceeded to call me a liar and claimed I never asked about tracking and she didn't even offer it. (Not only do I have the text thread but many of her reviews talk about tracking.) Total gaslighting. When I showed her our text exchange, here was her reply. Direct quote: "Im going to explain animal transport to you since you are continuing to harass me after I have already dropped Maggie off over 12 hours ago. Ok this is how it works if you want your fur baby transported you find a transport company and you get options 1 vip meaning a cargo van mine are Nissan NV200's show up completely decked out to cater to your animal alone. The cost would be $3500 for your trip. 2. a Mercedes Sprinter van with 10 crates Linning the inside shows up for caravan transport normally 10 days in transport and cost $1500.00. But you went with a third party booking site that doesn't check out the drives nor is responsible for anything that happens to you or your animal then you jewed down the price but then again you have also drugged your dog and thrown in cargo where it's not safe for people to ride and then even after I explained my emergency and stil was not going out of my delivery window you continued to harass me and tried to belittle me when in reality of my family emergency I could have just found boarding for Maggie and told you to figure something else out to finish her trip that I no longer could do it but I didn't I continued to care for Maggie and make sure she was comfortable till I could get her to you. Not to say my father in law passed last night while I was caring for Maggie and I wasn't there for him or my family. So at this point you can basically kiss my ass." The way this played out and her over the top response to a screenshot (no words), I don't believe for a minute there was any sickness or death. I also don't appreciate her racist comment. I'm surprised she is allowed to stay on this platform. What happened to informed consent? Why in on earth does she think she knows what my dog can handle? Feel free to email [email removed] and I will provide you with complete screenshots of messaging from start to finish. I don't want any other pet owner to fall prey to this situation. There is another lengthy review similar to this that I dismissed as an anomoly but it's clearly not an isolated case. Please don't send your precious pets with this "transporter".

I am satisfied. Juanita got my 2 cats here quickly and safely, and was very reassuring the whole time. My cats arrived to me in California all the way from Texas and settled in to their new home quickly due in part to a journey with minimal stress. It would also be good to note that there was a miscommunication on timing on my end but she still took care of my cats with no issue. My only worry is that when my cats arrived they smelled of cigarette smoke, so just have a conversation with her about that if boundaries need to be layed down if your pet has any conditions such as asthma. There aren’t enough stars available to give to Anthony! I will be honest… I was very nervous when it came to transporting my dog across country. She can be a bit unpredictable with certain people and isn’t always/ever animal friendly. Even from the very beginning, communication was excellent. Anthony took the time to answer all my questions and talk me through his entire process. After our first phone call, I was feeling better about everything (still nervous of course), but I decided to book the trip. Leading up to pick up, he was great and keeping me posted about his arrival. And after meeting Anthony, it took me a total of 2 seconds to trust that he was going to take great care of my fur baby. (Bonus: she loved him from the start!). It was a 4 day trip and I never had to request an update even once! Like clock work, I would receive pictures, videos, or voice memo updates. By the time they arrived in MA, she wasn’t even all that excited to see me. She was ready to hop back in the van and keep going with Anthony. Rodney canceled our transport the week before pick up and left me scrambling to find an alternative option as we were moving across country. Not only did Rodney cancel our trip at the last minute (nothing like moving cross country with all the moving parts that entails to have this person completely bail on you, so STRESSFUL), but he still has not refunded my $600 deposit! I have text so so many times to get my money back and it's nothing but radio silence. Rodney has effectively stolen my money. BE CAREFUL booking any transport on this website!! For anyone looking to transport a beloved pet, I highly recommend Tara and her husband. In general, Tara was communicative, professional, and (so importantly) very loving towards our pup once he was in her care. In addition, I was quite nervous about using Citizen Shipper for the first time and (as one can imagine) sending our pup on such a long journey alone, and also paying someone I hadn’t met over the internet with the limited funds my family had available to get Samson home. Tara was extremely patient and understanding about my concerns and we worked together to find solutions to all concerns that worked for us both. Joe did a great job transporting my dog and cat from Arkansas to Massachusetts. My dog can be anxious in new situations and has some “quirks,” but he immediately took to Joe and I got regular updates on how the animals were doing over the couple of day drive. I had a special case. It was a re-rescue for my lab mix Layla. We originally rescued her and on a visit to Florida we re-homed her to a family members house, who was alone, and had property, and agreed to take care of her. We thought it was a good fit. Well, I flew back down there for a family emergency and while there, went back to check on Layla, who looked terrible. So I took her to a friend's house, and got on my flights and started scanning citizen shipper for transport. I found Pamela, spoke with her, and immediately knew she was the one for my Layla, she gave her extra potty breaks along the way, and spoke so softly to her, my tramatized dog was so happy in her care. She is the sweetest, and did everything she said she would, on time. If I ever need another dog shipped I will use citizen shipper and ms. Pamela again for sure because you guys saved the day. Liberty LLC bid on hauling a trailer for me a year ago. My trailer is still not here. Liberty placed a low bid, which I accepted, then they disappeared, only to contact me again later and raise the price. The list of excuses was ridiculous. Regarding CitizenShipper, I can't get a refund of their booking fee even though my shipping was cancelled. Their policy says I can, but that hasn't proven true. I wouldn't recommend either of these companies to anyone. Nothing but a hassle with no results.

If. I could give Donna ten stars, I would. I had some very specialized and specific needs and she addressed those immediately, presenting me with detailed options and working with me to fine-tune those. Then when a curve ball was thrown into our plans, she didn't bat an eye but pivoted adroitly to meet my new requirements. All three of my animals loved her, including my normally reclusive cat. She has invested in the right equipment to minimize travel trauma, makes frequent potty and play stops, spoils them with treats and documented all of this with frequent photos to ease my anxiety. She was not my lowest bidder, but she is one of the best bargains I ever got - I got every penny's worth and then some!

I honestly don't even know where to begin with this review. Jeremy is by far not only amazing at what he does; but also, he is a stellar, trusting individual to boot. Since they ESA law was changed I can no longer fly with my dog, Winston. He has some aggression issues with strangers and has been homebound since COVID began so being out and about is challenging. I needed to fly to SoCal from Philadelphia and have Winston driven. This was my first time not traveling with Winston, and trusting his care (and fickle temperament) to a perfect stranger. From the beginning, Jeremy assured me he was skilled in handling dogs like Winston, he is certified in pet CPR, and that he would take excellent care of Winston. He made me feel at ease, as best as someone could while booking given I was a nervous wreck. Jeremy worked with my schedule and gave me an excellent price as Winston was riding with another client's small dogs. He showed up promptly, was patient while I walked him through all of my ridiculous helicopter parent neurosis in the 93-degree heat, had a crate fastened and secured that gave Winston plenty of room on the journey, and was prepared with great places to stop and take care of Winston where he wouldn't have to encounter too many people. I had a tracker on Winston - as I always do - to track his location, activity, and sleep. This was super helpful to calm my nerves and see where Winston was along the route back West. Regardless, however, Jeremy kept in close contact throughout the trip, sent me photos and updates on Winston's behavior, and did everything I asked him to do for Winston along the way. THE BONUS??? He made the trip in three days! Winston arrived happy, safe, clean, and loved Jeremy so much that he didn't want Jeremy to leave! As an aside, Jeremy is the ONLY person Winston has ever permitted to pet him while he eats without growling. I can't even do that. That is how much Winston trusted him. I believe Jeremy's calm, caring nature truly makes him a dog whisperer! I have no idea how Jeremy became such a super hero and got my baby to me in such a short period of time, but I am forever grateful to him for everything he did. I will for sure use Jeremy again in the future and refer him to all of my friends and colleagues. I cannot thank Jeremy enough for transporting my most precious cargo in the world and bringing him to me safe and sound. Thank you SO MUCH, Jeremy! See you soon!!!

I highly recommend this transporter!!!!! Holly transported my elderly tabby cat from San Antonio, Texas to Conway, Arkansas. Her price was extremely competitive with the others I got.. She was great with communication, responded in a very timely manner always and happily answered questions. She periodically sent photos of my cat Jack too. Holly also was really flexible about pick up timing which i really appreciated..
