Monique was wonderful! This was my first experience with pet transportation services and after she spent the night getting to know my dogs, I knew I had made the right decision in choosing her. She drove from Washington state to central Florida with my 3 pomeranians the first week of January. I was so impressed with her ability to take the cross country journey with confidence and a positive attitude. My dogs were her first priority and nothing was going to stop her from delivering them safely. She kept in touch without reminders and really seemed to enjoy them. I am so grateful and relieved. Unfortunately, my experience was not like others on this blog. I didn’t know it at the time, but Keith was carrying my dog at the same time as the reviewer from Berlin, CT who posted below. Keith did not crate my dog as other dogs were occupying the small car. When I booked him, he spoke as if the drive would be straight from his location, near my seller, to me, which is what I was looking for. Instead, he racked on other clients which added ten hours to a trip that should have taken 14, from Michigan to Vermont, and showed up in shorts from a delivery to Florida. And when I say he showed up, I mean he agreed to be at my house at a reasonable time, then pushed the meet up time later and later without explanation… for both me and the seller on two different days. I suggested a location in between that had access to a hotel room when it got late, but when I got there Keith was still running late - now instead of 4pm at my home, or 10pm, or midnight at a truck stop, or even 1:30 am at that truck stop, he was now going to be 2am. This was my first experience with CitizenShipper, and I assumed he was driving through the night to avoid traffic. But instead I found out … after I called him at 1:30am to ask was going on, and then stayed on the phone to keep him awake while I drove even further to meet him because it turned out he was going 20mph down the interstate … after we tried to do the handoff and the $1250 dog slipped out of his collar and ran away … after all that, I found out he had been driving several days straight with no food or rest. I still thought my dog was his only delivery at the time at his prior stop was for family (my mistake), and I had high hopes for recovery, so I paid him for making the drive to Vermont. His rate was $575. He only accepts cash. To his credit, Keith tried to stay and help catch the dog. He offered to replace it and we talked for a long time about human error. When the dog was successfully recovered (which was very, very lucky, as the dog was almost hit on the interstate multiple times), two weeks had passed in a Vermont winter. Barkley had frostbite on his feet. I am out $472.50 for the vet bill plus the $575 I paid Keith. Thank god at least I have the dog, although that credit goes to the local rescue more than anything else. The leash wasn’t even the issue, though - it was the way the dog was secured. (I never had a chance to even hold the leash… the dog got nervous and slipped out of the collar. I am told by the non-profit that helped me recover him that a responsible driver would use a martingale collar or a slip knot leash around the dog’s neck to avoid this situation. The slipknot could have been made with the material Keith had, and if he had not tried to fit so many jobs in back to back with mine, it would not have been a 2am handoff at an exit on the interstate an hour from my house. Turns out neither the seller nor I were comfortable with the arrangement, but neither of us thought we had the ability to say “no” as the situation played out. None of this is okay and no customer should ever have to deal with this. I was let down once when the dog got loose, and happy to try to work things out. But when I got ghosted after being saddled with another expense, Keith let me down a second time. He means well, but it’s been my experience he does not keep his promises. Please consider this - I had hoped to work with Keith as a business partner, but after a week of silence on his agreement to help, I know I can’t let myself be vulnerable again.

We had a rescue pup that needed transportation from a shelter in california to colorado. Rick dropped everything to meet our urgent immediate timeline and made it possible to save our sweet german shepards life as she was up against euthanasia. He gave updates throughout the trip and managed to find multiple dog parks. It was the absolute best case scenario, as I could tell he had so much love for her already. He was so great and I would recommend to everyone!!

I would NOT RECOMMEND them at all! The transport Van was filthy dirty inside. The crate was broke and filthy with dirt and hair sticky all over it! The drivers were not professional at all. Dirty and looked like possible drug addicts. They had crates all stacked on top of each other with 10- 12 dogs all packed in the back. The order was horrible! A 3 day drive turned out to be 7. Which was misrepresented to me at the time of booking. Out of concern for my dog I drove 14 hours to pick him up so he wudnt be in that horrible dirty environment for another 3 days.. he raked if cigarette smoke something awful when I picked him up! The lady wudnt let me see inside the van and started yelling at me! VERY UNHAPPy with the whole service. I was very concerned about the welfare of my dog

I am speaking with experience when I say it’s hard to send a animal you love so much away to her new family from California to Texas, and I would like to give this power couple a huge shout out for their amazing warming first impression for me and my dog. Annie is an excellent professional, loving and caring since the first moment that Annie met our dog. She did an excellent job despite the inclement weather in Nebraska.
