5 Star Pet Relocation Services really lived up to their name. We had to find someone to take our beloved cattle dog and our car across the country from Maine to California with a week's notice and were nervous about it as we've never sent our dog on a road trip without us. Risa and team were absolutely top notch. Clear communication, every request was documented in our agreement before the trip, and payment was split 50/50 between signing the agreement and our dog getting home to us. Marshall, who drove our dog and car, was very professional. He sent photos every few hours on the drive, and was careful to make sure our dog ate, drank, and had enough throughout the trip. They arrived a day early (which was great) and Marshall communicated about their progress across the country as well, so we could be prepared to receive them when they arrived. The car was in great condition, and Marshall even topped up our oil on the way across because the oil light came on. Couldn't recommend them more - they're worth the extra you might pay, to ensure your pet is getting where they need to get safely.

First-I would recommend Doug Orange without any reservations. For this transport we had very specific needs--for a person willing to take a plane trip with a guinea pig! We got many replies and the majority would not be flexible about their usual type of transport. It was very easy to communicate with Doug. Ultimately, he stayed overnight in an airport hotel, met me before 5:00 am and flew with me to NYC. (I was transporting another animal). Throughout he was a pleasure to work with and I would use him anytime for other pets or these if needed.

Book them. We were terrified and searching to find a transporter who would be kind, love our dogs and for a reasonable price. But we also had other reservations because we had never heard of a private transporter — only things like Alaska airlines and such. This made us worried someone could steal our pups. We talked to several transporters before D&K - we were judged by some, charged outrageous prices for our dogs that were extremely unattainable for us. Then we found D&K. Kristal & Damian were phenomenal from the get go. They were upfront and honest about everything from the process to the cost. When we met Kristal & Damian they were kind, judgment free folks just happy to help. They allowed us as much time as we needed to say goodbye, and showed us the van they used. I never had to wonder or worry about our babies. Kristal and Damian sent me updates, if not every night, sometimes twice a night - with photos! I always knew my babies were safe and being loved. They also made the decision to let our two dogs free roam after a few days - as they seemed much more comfortable. I was so happy to see this. Kristal & Damian are now part of the family and always welcomed to see our dogs. ❤️

When we found out our dog was on the list of breed dogs not allowed to fly we didn’t know where to look for a trust worthy person to take our dog across country. Luckily a friend had mentioned Citizen Shipper to us and we started right away searching for the right person to take our fur baby from Georgia to California. Robert’s profile caught my attention right away since we were looking for a solo ride transportation for our dog. Once I sent Robert a message he got right back to me and answered some of the questions I had regarding this whole process. We then spoke on the phone the next day to go over and confirm the details of everything I needed to know before him coming over to pick up our dog. It was very reassuring knowing that we would have Robert’s GPS through out the whole trip and that he would be sending us updates through out the trip with pictures and texts. I knew right away when we met him that our dog would be in good hands. Everything Robert told us he would do to keep our minds at ease he did by all the updates he provided and pictures as well. Utterly unreliable driver. I engaged her for the transport of 3 rescue dogs from SoCal to NorCal, paid her 50% of the transport fee the morning of the transport because she told me she needed to top up gas. We agreed to meet at 1, but she told me at 12 the clutch in her car broke. She told me she’d be there in another hour after her car gets towed and she gets a rental. At 3pm, she was just on the way to the rental but she eventually decided not to pick up the rental car as the total cost was $350 instead of $150 like she thought. All of a sudden her phone is on low battery and after hours of telling me to trust that she wouldn’t leave me AND three dogs stranded, she goes completely off the grid. It is now 11 minutes from the shelter’s closing time, im sitting on the floor at the shelter and she is completely uncontactable. To be honest, everything points to her being a scam, but I really want to believe that no one can have such a black heart to do this to dogs who have literally just been rescued from death row (yes they were all scheduled to be culled today and she was all “yes let’s get as many of them out as possible” before the engagement).

I was satisfied with the two drivers who seemed very nice. In my situation, the original driver was in a van totaling wreck and could not complete the trip. I then dealt with Corky for communication and setup. I was the middleman between them and the pup's seller. Corky was inconsiderate, dismissive, and rude over text. The professional thing would have been to call me rather than letting text be interpreted in certain ways. He didn't meet deadlines he set for himself on updating me on the status of my pup's trip. This was important because I needed to know when the puppy would arrive to schedule a vet visit withing 3 days and to let the seller know how much longer they'd need to keep the pup. Plus I was worried about getting my puppy safely! He eventually just ignored my parts of my texts, ignored all of my texts, and just went silent with communication. For a company that prides itself on being animal lovers, this was pathetic service with no care for owner communication. Again, the two drivers I interacted with seemed great and I can understand rescheduling due to a wreck, but the organizing communication around all of it was absolutely atrocious. The night where Corky missed his own stated deadline by hours to update me, I reached back out and he asked who I was. He said he couldn't remember me due to all the people he talked to that day. Unprofessional. Unfortunately I would not use these guys again because of the lack of communication even though the pup did end up getting to me and the drivers seemed nice.

Duston’s communication skills are superb, he is extremely expeditious in responding to texts, and he was able to set my daughter’s mind at ease with the extra level of safety and security he utilizes in his handling procedures.. Our pets arrived in perfect condition ~ a loooong trek from Cali to N.Carolina. We were in need of transporting our Mastiff to a new owner from CA to MO. Anton was able to have a driver out the following day. This was a time sensitive situation and it worked out perfectly. The price was as expected for a single animal, door-to-door, ride. They were able to get our dog to MO the following day! The first afternoon of travel I asked for an update after about 6 hours and got one within 30mins of asking. The following day I did receive pictures and updates much more regularly, which helped with our nerves. Hermie really liked the driver and it looked like he had a great and safe trip! We would book this company again.
