I was extremely pleased with the entire process of moving my kitty TerpCat from California to Maryland. First of all, communication is very important to me, and Arete Transport was always quick to reply to my questions and comments. On the day of pickup, the drivers arrived after 11 p.m., and they were apologetic that it was so late. I should have told them that I hoped to get frequent texted updates and photos, but saying goodbye to my kitty was difficult and blocked my ability to think of questions to ask. Arete seems to like my suggestion that the drivers should routinely ask customers how often they would like to receive updates since the drivers would not be blocked by the emotional stress of saying goodbye to a pet. I also really appreciated the updates that let me know where they were on the journey, and the one photo of my kitty looking rather bewildered, perhaps wondering when he was going to be released from the carrier. My friend who accepted my kitty at the end of the journey said the drivers were nice and my kitty was not traumatized. (He wasted no time exploring her house.) That said, I would recommend Arete Transport to anyone who needs to transport a pet.

This man is a scammer!! He tries to go outside the app to deal with customers and then steals they money. He sent me a screenshot of him being only 14 min away, had my dog outside in the cold. Then soon as he received the 50% of the shipment he lied about a flat tire and blocked me. He was so convincing. Wooster police are well aware of this man, and will be filing a fraud and thief report on him. I will also be reaching out to animal cruelty about this man. Do not book with him at all. Only use PayPal (not friend to friend) to pay anyone on this app if they request anything upfront, or a different method only after you have received your shipment not before. If I would of saw the previous review that had just popped up I would of never felt with him. This account should be red flagged and citizenshipper should go further to make sure he is reported to the police. Please be smart when making a decision to who you trust. As of right now the booking was refunded but he has not responded to citizenshipper nor myself to refund me my 50% I paid upfront. BE AWARE of anyone trying to go outside the app, that’s a automatic red glad. Even after booking I was still scammed. I’m so glad he didn’t actually come in contact with my dog. He is a sick individual. People will do anything for money.

Following that message I placed the order and booked with ADL. Zero communication from there end after that. Here we are on Thursday and still nothing. I've called their customer service who has been very little help. This is a lost cause and I'm out a couple hundred bucks that I'm sure I won't get back. Once the order is placed, they aren't interested in any type of communication. Skip shipping with this company. They'll leave you nothing but frustrated and full of empty promises.

Emi was amazing and truly our hero. We adopted a dog from a rescue in LA and, for a number of reasons, needed him transported by ground asap. Emi responded quickly and was ready to go and once we booked, she was on the road to get him. Literally within the hour of booking she was already driving. Emi was great about calling and coordinating direct with the foster who was caring for him in LA and as soon as she was in- person contact, the photos and updates began. Emi kept us updated at stops along the way and always sent photos so we could see our boy comfortable and happy with her. She faced terrible rainy weather and was undaunted. It did slow her down some, as anyone would expect, but we appreciated this because we know that safety was her priority, not the clock. When it came to delivery, our boy was happy and clearly well cared for and loved for 2 days. She was even kind enough to give him a toy and a blanket to start his new life with. She is kind, thoughtful and caring… all the qualities you want in someone caring for your furry kids. We would definitely trust Emi with our furry kids again. She is a lovely soul with a very kind heart and we were lucky to find her.

PLEASE READ!’!!! Buyer Beware. I can not address his delivery as he canceled after he picked up and moved my item. He stated he had an accident and he may have. I find it convenient that the accident occurred near his home which is not near the pick up or drop off location. I would strongly recommend NOT providing any money up front as if he cancels, he seemingly has no money to refund what he has collected from you. Shipley will continue to allow him to take more bids, but not hold him responsible for refunding your money,. Nor will Shipley have him pay the difference in what ‘they’ now are charging to re-list your item or the price increase to have the item picked up from near his home to the original destination. This process started for me in February and it’s about to be April and I have yet to get a refund. I was even willing to take payments and have not received anything. Will be seeking legal if I don’t hear something soon. Mark C cancellation’s should say ‘one week not ‘four’. I know attest two of us whose shipments were canceled recently, AFTER he had already moved the items from their original state. Sooooo buyer, beware and DO NOT pay upfront. Mark will make his justification below, but bottom line is I still don’t have my refund and I’m or am additional $400 due to his cancellation and he is allowed to continue with business as usual. Providing a phone number of a potential shipper with no name is NOT a referral and also provides no protection for my item. So sad when you do things right and you find your can’t trust people today. Provide the service or the refund!!!

She really went way and beyond to make the transportation process easy on me I was nervous my first time having someone to transport for us. And most of all on our new puppy that was a gift for my 7 year old girl bday. She definitely is trustworthy and amazing. She was in communication with me since day one and with our breeder, I had a feeling in my heart she really loves animals more than a job is a bond and caring that she has for animals. So I really picked the right one. She also send me pictures all the way on the day of transporting our puppy home. She text me, she send videos. Second time using Door To Door. First time was great, driver was wonderful (sent photos and updates regularly, shared her location so we could see their progress, got my dog to the destination quickly). This second time was not so great. The driver arrived a whole day early, didn’t send updates until prompted (and updates were brief/barely any photos of the dogs), and couldn’t get the location sharing to work so we didn’t know their progress. The driver also lost our dog’s blanket she had since she was a puppy. Rachel was responsive and did give a discount for the pickup problems but overall, we were not thrilled about this second experience with Door To Door. Our dogs arrived safe and in a reasonable time frame so hence the 2/5 stars.

*BEWARE* I am only giving one star because 0 is not an option. This shipper held my dog hostage for days and extorted me for an extra $500 or I would not see my puppy. It started out with them promising me all kinds of services and claimed that they are team drivers and there will be no down time and my puppy will be delivered twice as fast that way. Next, they took a 26 hour layover at their home in CO. I paid for a service and it sucked! They guarantee GPS tracking the entire troop, however, when I questioned them about the layover at their home, they blocked me on GPS and did not respond to my texts and calls for 19 hours. Only after I made a police report and the police called them, they called me back. NO ONE should ever have their pet on the road and the shipper not have open communication. Once the Priority Transport called, they only called to demand another $500 or I’d never see my puppy again. I agreed to pay this only to get my pup. This man is a crook, very disrespectful, dishonest, and unprofessional with the lack of communication and logistical knowledge to do this business properly. Also, I you’ll have never allowed them to take my dog if it were going to be in the back of a van for more than the 3 days they promised. I was promised Sunday early day, but did not receive the puppy until Tuesday night at 6pm, and lets not forget only after being extorted. Please don’t make the same mistake I made! I will be sharing my story all over the internet with photo proof. I have been breeding and showing dogs for 22 years and this is the worst experience I’ve ever had.

I would never use this transportation company ever again I scheduled a delivery for the second of April and he gave me a price that I agreed to and then a few days later he needed to change the date of pick up because it didn’t work for him so he asked me if it was ok I had to check with my customers and it was ok however we realized that the puppy was not 8 weeks old until the second of April and needed to change the date to the original date I called Nick and it ended up with a shouting match he said he would not change the date back to the second of April so I asked him for a refund and he refused to refund the money for the deposit he changed the the delivery on the website to deliver so I could not review it on there and write a bad review about his service
