Paws Transport did what they agreed to do: they delivered two foster dogs from New Mexico to their new home in New York safely, and they sent frequent updates and pictures to both parties. In hindsight there are some things we should have discussed before making an agreement. For example, my dogs aren’t used to car rides and needed some coaxing to get in and out of the car, but Paws Transport wasn’t very patient with the dogs on pickup, and on drop off they didn’t spend enough time introducing the dogs to the new owners so that the dogs felt safe. For another example, Paws Transport travels with a small dog, but didn’t ask if my dogs were friendly or how they behaved toward smaller dogs. Again, Paws Transport did what they agreed to do, but in hindsight I wish we had clarified expectations on both ends. In my case it turned out okay, because the dogs they transported are friendly and resilient, but I wouldn’t recommend Paws Transport for dogs who are skittish, take time to trust strangers, or who aren’t good with other dogs.

DO NOT HIRE! Unprofessional, unorganized, terrible communication. Ultimately Steven Mulhall did the job requested, but I am not happy about how it was accomplished. From the beginning leading up to the pick up of my dog, I couldn't get an exact date from him, only a date range and a "most likely tomorrow" text the day before. He couldn't get me a time of pick up even the day of, until late that evening after being told "should be tonight". Upon first impression, he looked very unprofessional and unorganized, and I questioned to myself the legitimacy of this company, but had no other option at this point. Once he picked my dog up, I rarely heard from him. He told me when he started his drive and when he stopped for the night, but I got no other notifications or pictures on the way. When he arrived in California, again he couldn't give me or my parents (who he dropped off to) a time frame until he was an hour away. Once my dog was dropped off, Steve handed my parents a scribbled down note on the back of an envelope with feeding instructions because he had lost the written feeding and medication instructions I had given him at pick up. My dog has cancer and other medical conditions that require twice daily medication, which is why I chose this company claiming to be proficient in emergency vet care. My dog arrived with no appetite and very lethargic, and had to be taken to the emergency vet the next morning. She had low blood sugar and had contracted kennel cough from the other dog being transported in the same vehicle. I cannot blame the company or accuse Steven of maltreatment, because he very well may have followed the instructions exactly, but this was my experience. I would absolutely never hire this company again. Please do more research and look deeper into ratings and reviews than I did.

Emi was wonderful. Our rescued 5 year old Siberian Husky came across country with Emi and her dog, Chewy. She really knows and cares about dogs. She sent pictures and updates twice a day to both us and our daughter.
