It took them 48 hours to deliver my puppy that was 12 hours from me. (Story below)Jess and Lonnie are nice people who genuinely care for the animals they are transporting. However, there are some things that need work on. First, transparency. Some people are utilizing a service like this for the first time and don’t know what questions to ask. Paws and claws should let people know that their business is a ride share and they may do more pick ups and drop offs along the way. Second, They should also set realistic expectations up front for timing. I naively thought that my puppy would be picked up and delivered as quickly as possible due to the fact that he was 8 weeks old. He was 12 hours from me in Ohio. They also should let people know that they don’t let puppies onto the ground for health reasons. So when they transport puppies they stay in the van the entire trip. They are crated and are not let out except at stops to feed and water them and change the puppy pads. Third, They say they will send pics along the way but I only received a couple of him in the crate when I requested them. Fourth, They don’t have a tracking app, citing previous trouble with a customer. So if you are looking for that, they don’t offer it. Due to this, they should be more forthcoming with updates for customers. Fifth, They also aren’t very upfront about the travel path or plans for pick up and drop offs along the way to you. I felt at many points I had to question the reasons for their extreme delays because the reasons didn’t make sense entirely. Sixth, customer service. Lonnie’s fatigue and frustration bubbled over during a final call I had with him where he said some unprofessional things. I was told by Jess that I am “too anxious and he just needs me to calm down.” I cannot not recommend them to others.

He was on daily meds, which she graciously gave him each morning, plus she transported his allergy serum (which needs to be kept cold) and syringes. Razzo loved Amanda, and when she left our house after drop off, Razzo would run to the door looking for her! If you need your little one transported any distance, I highly recommend Amanda. She was wonderful!

Amazing. Simply amazing. I can not say enough about this experience. I was concerned in using a site and not knowing the person transporting my dog and I ? am so happy I followed my gut on this one. Robert was above and beyond perfect for the job. I had a very timid dog coming to me from Louisiana. It was a long trip to MI and she was car sick, and very afraid. He bought her toys, bought extra towels and blankets and reported to me regularly to let me know how she was doing. My dog took to him very well and was able to settle down in the car. He also stayed to make sure she was ok, and comfortable in my yard. He was so nice, and so patient and great to work with. Truly, I can't not say enough about how great he was. This experience over all was excellent and I'm so glad I found him to bring my dog to me. Highly recommend ? ?

I had an urgent pick up booked , as I run a rescue; when I set up urgent pick ups it’s very important that the pup gets picked up. Sometimes it’s from shelters and if they are not picked up they get put down! Luckily this one is with a foster and needs to send him back to the center . I have been sending messages , text, and called, after booking I have not heard anything in response in 12 hrs, pick up was last night at 11, I stayed up as well as the foster all night . No response, no reasoning. Just nothing ! I transfer a lot of pups across country to new homes as well as pick up . I would not recommend using them. It was a 2 hr transport, only reason i didn’t do pick up myself is I just had both hands operated on two days ago and can not drive!
