What can go wrong, will go wrong, and why they get a full 5 stars. I might be one of the few unlucky pet transport stories out there. Sure, 5 star reviews are great. However, it is also important (if not more so) to understand how a business adapts when things go wrong, deadlines are not met, and multiple acts of God interfere with well-laid plans. It was an evolving situation, and Steven and his team went well beyond the scope of expectations to make sure my furbabies made it safely cross-country. Long story short, I booked Steven and his team for a chinchilla pickup. After some discussion, he also agreed to take one of my cats, along with half of my enormous chinchilla cage, which was fantastic. I told him when my flight was, and the pickup date was scheduled with a few extra days as buffer in case he was delayed. This wasnât my first time using CitizenShipper and pet transport services, but I was pleasantly surprised with how professional the entire interaction was. It was clean and efficient, and he also verified his identity which was a nice plus. Fast forward, he was delayed. Twice. So what was supposed to be a delay of a few days turned into he might not make it before my flight. For a little context, one of the delays sent him to the hospital, and he barely took a break before continuing on his way. Then, a setback and mistake on my end. One day before my flight, I realized the lower half of the chinchilla cage had a completely exposed top (not fully enclosed). I called, and he immediately offered to just use a chinchilla-safe kennel and provided a solution for the cage. Now, with how tight the deadline was, I was very concerned. Fortunately, Steven already tapped into his network and arranged for a driver or foster to care for my pets until he can make it. My pets ended up with a foster hours before my flight, and I was given plenty of video updates during that time. And then, another delay. Snowstorm in the Midwest. We just couldnât get a break. But after he got out of the snow, he picked up my furbabies, and it was a straight shot from LA to NYC. My cat and chinchilla were delivered safe and sound, and Stephen even went so far as to replace some missing cage parts that were left at the pet foster. Overall, it was an emotional rollercoaster. But throughout the process, Stephen maintained clear communication, provided updates, and made sure the delivery was a success. If anyone is on the fence about hiring Dimensional Logistics, let my story serve as a benchmark for how well-prepared they are for the unexpected.
