Hello! My name is Kathryn, and I’m the owner of Safe & Sound Transport. While we’re a newer name on this platform, we bring over 14 years of hands-on experience in safe, reliable transportation. My focus is simple: to provide VIP-level care with every journey—whether it’s a beloved pet or a time-sensitive delivery. At Safe & Sound, safety, communication, and compassion come first. I specialize in door-to-door, prompt, personalized service, and I treat every pet passenger, and any cargo with the same care and respect I would my own family and possessions. ⸻ For Pet Transport Clients Your pets are never “cargo” to us. They are privileged passengers—and for the duration of their journey, we serve as their temporary guardians. Every ride includes: • Climate-controlled cabin travel—never in the bed of a truck • Pets under 70 lbs only (exceptions may be made with prior discussion) • Frequent bonding breaks, potty stops, and stress-minimizing routines • Photos, videos, GPS tracking, and text updates—you’ll always know where they are and how they’re doing. • Personalized care that honors your pet’s routine, temperament, and preferences. We follow your guidance and instructions closely to ensure your companion is calm, comfortable, and loved throughout the trip. ⸻ 🗓 Trip Scheduling & Delivery Times • Same-day delivery (under normal circumstance)for trips under 600 miles • Timely arrivals for all trips—with consistent updates along the way • Solo transports available upon request (May require a higher rate) • Bonded pairs or same-household pets may travel together with pre-approval We do not drive late at night, and when an overnight stay is necessary, your pet stays with us—never boarded or left alone. ⸻ 💬 Communication Is Key From first contact to final delivery, I’ll keep you fully informed. I provide: • Real-time GPS tracking • Regular photo and video updates • Text or phone check-ins throughout the journey You’ll always know what’s happening—and that your pet is in loving, capable hands. ⸻ 📋 Important Info & Client Responsibilities To ensure the best trip possible, please review the following: • All pets must be bathed and dry prior to pickup • Please provide: food, harness/leash, favorite bedding or toys, and any required medications with vet instructions • for trips >750 miles, 50% deposit due upon booking; 25% due upon pickup and 25% balance due at delivery. • For trips <750 miles 50% deposit to book and 50% due at pickup. If you need to work out a different arrangement, just let us know and we can discuss it. • Payments accepted via square, zelle or Venmo. Other arrangements should be agreed upon before pickup. • Reservations are first-come, first-served and subject to availability *deposits are nonrefundable but can be offered as a credit if itineraries change and as our calendar permits. Credit is not transferable or negotiable.* • Rates are based on fuel, tolls, and wear & tear. We consider overnight trips as kenneling. Prices may vary slightly based on route and current conditions, but I always aim to keep costs reasonable and do have payment options. • discounts given to veterans, active duty, first responders, seniors, differently abled, rescues and students. ⸻ At Safe & Sound, we don’t just transport—we care. My experience with Safe and Sound was excellent from the beginning. Communication was great and being able to watch the journey with GPS was fabulous. My puppy arrived safe and happy and was very well cared for along the trip. We received lots of pictures during the journey. I would highly recommend Safe and Sound to anyone looking for a pet courier!

Kat was wonderful from the beginning. Really warm, considerate, professional, and attentive to both us as pet parents and our dog. She is a wonderful communicator and really wants to ensure we have a good understanding of what the travel details entailed, how she would take care of our dog, and what to expect. This whole experience was a first for us and naturally, we were nervous, but she sent daily updates via text, including cute photos/videos, as well as shared her location, so were in contact throughout. I'll also add that it was important to me that she was the only female-owned business that I came across, and wanted to support her efforts. Can't thank Kat and Ryan enough for all the love and attention they showed our pup throughout the whole process.
