Throughout the journey, I will keep you updated every step of the way via your preferred method of communication—be it text, photos, videos, or phone calls. I provide clean, sanitized crates, as well as water, bowls, blankets, and leashes to ensure your pet’s comfort. Sometimes, there are occasions where transportation is significantly delayed due to inclement weather and road conditions, illness, or emergencies. This is not a frequent occurrence, but it can happen. If I have not picked up your pet(s) yet AND the delay is too significant for you to be able to wait or to reschedule, and I have to cancel due to the situation, I will give you a refund of your deposit/partial payment. If you have to cancel for any reason and your cancellation is more than 48 hours prior to the agreed-upon pick-up date, a refund will be issued. However, if you have to cancel for any reason, and it is 48 hours or less prior to the agreed-upon pick-up date, a refund will not be issued. By this point, time and money has already been spent preparing and/or driving towards the pick-up location.

DURING THE TRANSPORT: We provide fresh bottled water, we ask you to provide any food or treats that your pet(s) will need. If you are transporting a cat we ask that you provide the litter. Your pet will be fed on the feeding schedule you provide to us. We are prepared to provide crates, bedding, blankets, leashes and litter boxes if needed. We have a ramp for pets that need extra assistance to access our vehicles. We also have a small refrigerator to accommodate any medication or food that needs refrigeration. We stay in contact with you through text regarding our progress toward the destination. We also send you pictures and updates on your pet(s) along the way. TRAVEL: For the safety of your pet(s) as well as ours, we stop every 3 - 4 hours or sooner, depending on the needs of your pet(s) to stretch and provide your pet(s) with exercise, water, food/snacks, and playtime. Typically, we are on the road for 12 hours per day (approximately 600 miles) then we stop for a longer rest break. ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our bid is based on the information you gave in your post. If your pick up or drop off location, what you are transporting, or your dates change the bid may change due to the circumstances. Please keep in mind if you are booking on or change your transport dates to a government recognized holiday or during the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Memorial Day, or Labor Day we charge a $300 holiday fee as our expenses go up during these times. PAYMENTS: We accept payments made through credit card. A 5% processing fee is charged for using these mobile payment services (this is what the credit card companies charge us). We require a 50% deposit at the time of booking to reserve your transport time. You will receive a final invoice via text or email on the day of delivery. The balance is due on the date of delivery upon receipt of final invoice prior to delivery. As with any service industry tips/gratuity to the driver for the excellent service that will be provided is greatly appreciated. CITIZEN SHIPPER BOOKING FEE: Please keep in mind that there is a "Booking Fee" charged by CitizenShipper to utilize their webpage and platform. This fee is not included in our quoted rate nor do we receive any of this fee. This transaction is handled directly between you and CitizenShipper. District Attorney Turned Dog Rescuer Amidst the pandemic I, like many people, found myself without a job and stuck in pandemic lock down for months on end. After months of stillness and uncertainty, I had enough of sitting around waiting for something to happen. Having purchased my first National Parks pass the week pandemic lock downs began, I was eager to get my money’s worth from my newly acquired pass. As many national parks and forest began reopening and having been confined to my house and limited walks around the neighborhood for three months, I thought a few nights in the woods and under the stars would do me some good. In June of 2020 I set out for the Buffalo National River where I would spend five days and nights along the river banks, reacquainting myself with nature. As the weekend approached, I spoke with friends back home to see if there were any mentions of pandemic restrictions easing. The news from home was not positive, and I had a decision to make. In 9 hours, I could be back home, back to comforts and familiarity, back to my old life, back to the mundane. In 10 hours, I could be in the Colorado Rockies, into the unknown, into the wild, complete uncertainty, but endless possibilities for adventure. I chose the latter and the rest is history. For the next three months I would travel over 20,000 miles through some of the most beautiful and isolated parts of this country. Every day spent completely out of my comfort zone, every day a new life lesson, a summer of wonder, and the rarity of feeling truly alive. Prior to the pandemic I was already well aware that my heart was no longer in practicing law. Every day spent doing it was day spent doing something I did not like doing, something writer and orator Alan Watts referred to as “STUPID!”. No longer wishing to be “stupid” I set out in search of a career unburdened by the mundane. I wanted a life of adventure, filled with joy, and feeling alive. I knew the exhilaration of traveling the country and yearned for the possibility to continue my journey. As luck would have it, I stumbled upon CitizenShipper.
