Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile, and considering me to transport your precious cargo! I'm an 58 year old Mom, currently living in Northern Virginia with my awesome partner Tim. I've been transporting dogs and cats on Citizen Shipper now for several months, and I also have some experience transporting rescue animals for 2 local rescue groups, as a volunteer. I love animals and donate my time whenever possible to saving them from high kill shelters to other towns where they have a better chance to be adopted or have foster homes waiting for them. My career for the past 20 plus years had been in smaller, local nonprofits, mostly running the resale shops. Running the business side of it (it may be a nonprofit, but the shops need to make money to support the organization!), managing the staff and volunteers. Some volunteers were there because they just enjoyed it and wanted to support the organization, some were students needing hours for school/church/etc., but most were community service volunteers who were court ordered to do volunteer hours for some infraction, like a speeding ticket. I affectionately call them my "naughty kids". I now spend my time taking as many road trips as I can, mostly to hike and visit National Parks, and spending time in my workshop, refinishing and upcycling furniture. I'm passionate about saving good but ugly furniture from the landfill and making it attractive and useful again. I enjoy travel, seeing everything there is to see, cooking with my son and his girlfriend back home in the Chicago area, spending lots of time with my partner, Tim and his adult son Connor, who has Down Syndrome. Connor is a movie buff and knows the words to every Christmas song I can find to play for him. Tim is training to be a dog trainer and works at a local K9 training and boarding center. He was in the Army as a K9 handler back in the day, has a prosthetic leg, can still hike, swim and mostly keep up with me, and he may occasionally be able to join me to transport items for Citizen Shipper. I'm a foodie, love the beach and the mountains, but mostly the beach, a good cook, care deeply for my fellow human beings and for animals of all types. Every living creature has a purpose and a place in this world/food chain, even if they are ugly and creepy - LOL! As far as transporting your beloved animal, I would love to be considered. I will not guarantee to be the lowest bidder, but I do guarantee to care for and protect them like they are my own. Oh, and my family back in Chicago has 5 cats now! All are rescues, and I adopted 4 of them with my former husband and our son - Caesar, Brutus (of course!), Claudius and Augustus. I only do solo trips. Your fur babies will never ride with strange animals in my vehicle. Puppies ride open in my pickup truck with lots of loves and updates. I'm just a dad and husband making extra money to take my kids camping and for vacations. I love animals, and unless it's two small ones with at least one in a kennel, I'll only be taking one at a time. When appropriate we'll stop and take restroom breaks, plus walk and sniff. For cargo, I have tarps and ratchet straps. I have a 12ft flat bed trailer, and have no issue hauling small trailers (Up to 6500lbs) or small boats. Trips to the central east coast (Especially Charlotte), may come at a discounted rate (Mom and Dad). If you're moving a small one bedroom apartment, I'll have no issue renting a trailer and helping to load. I'll haul home and pets. I never ask for extra paperwork or money. P.S. If you participate in dog fighting or other animal cruelty, please don't accept my bid. I'm not equipped to transport aggressive animals anyway, plus I'll absolutely call the police. So let's not waste each other's time.

I also offer solo trips! 🐾Overnights are spent in pet friendly hotels with your babies, no sleeping in crates in the van. *****Please message me before accepting my bid and confirm availability, as things change rapidly. **** I’ve also occasionally transported for a local wildlife rescue and a local shelter. I’m a 59 yr old former long haul truck driver. I drove over 20 years with no preventable accidents. I will occasionally have a co driver named Shana Fields, she’s 56 yrs old, also a former truck driver with no accidents. I’ve driven extensively in all lower 48 states, in every kind of weather and traffic. I drive a 2026 Chrysler Pacifica minivan with tons of space and a high safety rating. Your baby’s safety is my number ONE priority! I personally have dogs, cats, and even two snakes! I’ve rarely met a critter I didn’t like. Some of the pictures below are of my own pets I currently have. I can absolutely promise you that your family member will receive all the love and attention they want. They will be respected, fed, watered, walked (if applicable), and pampered just like my own. My bid may not be the lowest, but some people will bid very low, and take large numbers of pets at once, I won’t do that. Maybe 2-3 clients at a time, No more. Puppies that have not completed their vaccinations will not be on the ground due to risk of parvo, it can remain in the soil for months at least. I actually have a puppy playpen, there’s a picture of it in my photos. It will allow little ones to romp a little at stops, use puppy pads in the playpen, and stay safe from ground contamination! It will also allow them a play area if overnight hotel stays are needed instead of always being in the crate. I would Love a chance to talk to you and prove that your baby will be in good hands! **On a personal note ** Whether you book with me or not, if you are shipping a puppy you are buying, PLEASE make sure they are a reputable breeder and Not a puppy mill. They often hide it well, they may even be “USDA certified”. They are terrible places and it breaks my heart. 💔 I can accept almost any pet, but for safety and comfort, dogs need to not be extremely bad pullers. Well behaved larger dogs should be fine. In addition to my dogs and cats, I currently own a Ball Python and a Corn Snake, and have owned other reptiles and a Quaker Parrot in the past. I once raised Guinea Fowl as a small farm business, hatching around 100 keets (baby guinea fowl), a week! I have experience with all kinds of critters, and know they all have their own likes, dislikes, and needs. I have crates of all sizes. You will need to provide a secure harness & NON Retractable leash, and preferred food for adult dogs, I keep Purina One puppy food for the little ones coming from breeders, as they rarely supply food. You are encouraged to provide chew toys, toys, bed or bedding, preferred treats, and any supplements or medications. All vaccinations must be current and vet records supplied. This is a USDA requirement. Pets should be clean and parasite free. My car and any crates or bowls that I own will be sanitized before and after each client. Payment can be made by cash, PayPal, or Venmo. Payment requirements are half at pickup, and the other half at delivery. **Please be aware that CitizenShipper charges their own fee to you for their platform. None of that fee goes to the transporters, and will not be included in my bid. Thanks! Solo trips are available at a higher rate and must be requested. I will book other clients in route if possible to help reduce everyone’s cost. I will NEVER take more than 4 pets at a time. They will be kept separate, and each receive individual attention. My wife is a certified pet sitter. I've hauled horses 🐎, cattle, flatbed trailers, to vehicles. Together we are bringing our knowledge of the interstate systems and the rules of the road, combined with our knowledge and love of animals we are helping pet owners and their fur babies reach their destinations with as little stress as possible. We do this in order to give them as much of a stress free journey as possible. In a loving environment. We also guarantee a reliable, fast and hassle free delivery. We have non-stop delivery upon request. We follow a strict puppy protocol of "no paws on the ground" policy, for puppies under 16 weeks of age or those who have not yet received all of their vaccinations. This ensures the health and safety of our youngest travelers by protecting them from potential hazards during the journey. How it works: After you accept my bid on CitizenShipper, we can communicate freely. We are unable to share contact information until the bid is accepted on this platform. CitizenShipper charges customers a booking fee, we never see any of that, both customers and drivers pay a fee to use this platform. We only get what you accepted as the bid. We accept most forms of payment including: Venmo, Cashapp, Zelle, we also accept all major credit cards through Square. We are registered with the USDA. Upon booking, we do require a 50% deposit 💸 to be paid. Cancellation Timeframes & Refunds: - 24 to 48 Hours Notice: Cancellations within this timeframe will not receive their deposit back. For everyday beyond the agreed upon delivery date, a $100.00 fee will be applied towards the balance. - Rescheduling Policy: We allow one reschedule at no additional cost if requested at least 48 hours in advance of the original transport date. - Exceptions: In the case of extreme weather, medical emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances, we may offer rescheduling options, or a partial or full refund at our discretion.
