We are a small, family owned business made up of my wife, Tiffany (dispatcher) and myself (the driver). I originally created this business because of my love for animals and traveling and decided to put the two together to do what I love, and help people and their pets at the same time. I am USDA certified and insured. I travel to US based states, no international at this time. To ensure quality care, I only transport a small number of pets at any given time and no more than 4 or 5 depending on their size. This allows me to focus and prioritize each animal’s individual comfort and wellbeing as well as faster delivery. Higgies Cozy Carriers is located out of Central Ohio. We drive a Toyota Sienna Mini van. We work around the clock the best we can to make sure we get your loved one to their destination as soon as we can. We do require you to be available when we arrive. We try to plan our trips out the best we can to make sure we arrive at a decent time. But sometimes there are unforeseen obstacles that we can't control. As stated we work around the clock and need to continue to our other dropoffs/pickups. If your not available to accept your animal at the time of arrival there will be a extra fee. As it cost us and delays everything we have scheduled. (TIME IS MONEY). If for any reason we have to stay in a hotel your pets will stay with us in a pet friendly hotel. We love all animals as our own. We are a husband and wife team. When you book with Higgies Cozy Carriers you deal with us from start to finish. We Do Not broker or sub-contract any of our transports. A little about us. We have yorkies, a South African Mastiff known as a boerboel also 2 sphynx cats. We have had several animals throughout our lives from small to large breed dogs. We've had cows, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, also bearded dragons. So I would say we are very experienced in all types animals. We are a yorkie breeder so we are very aware of how finicky a small breed can be during travel or even day to day. We always carry a nutritional supplement known as Nutrocal. So when your little ones aren't eating or just picking at their food during transport we will give the some so their sugar don't drop. As for transporting we have been transporting our little bundles of joy to their new owners all over the east coast for the last 8 years. We decided to expand our services to others in the lower 48 states. We have transported over 50 shipments in the last 6 months on and off the platform. We take pride in providing the best service as we can as a transporter. We never transport more than 4 animals at a time. We do offer VIP Service that does cost more. So if you would like a vip transport make sure we are aware and we will adjust our price accordingly. We make sure everyone is well taken of while in transport. We make sure all pets get potty breaks and exercise every 3-4 hours. If your pet has special needs please make us aware of these needs so we can accommodate them. **Aggressive Dogs** If your dog is Aggressive we need to be made aware of as we will charge an extra fee. If they are Aggressive they are required to have a muzzle on that they can eat and drink during transport. (If you fail to make us aware that your dog is Aggressive and we show up and can't put hands on your dog. We have the right to refuse transport and you will be required to pay half of the transport fee.) When booking with us we require a 50% at pickup and 50% delivery. We don't expect to be paid upfront before we show up to do the job. This is to make our customer feel more comfortable about using our services and we aren't just gonna run off with your money. We offer both shared and private rides. Private rides are the first quote we give you. This means there are no other pets in the vehicle besides yours and we'll be quicker delivering to you. Shared rides mean there are other pets in the vehicle. They will all be seperated by crates and everyone has a bowl attached to the crate so they have water available at all times. Shared rides mean the time from pickup to drop off may take longer. Shared rides will also have a discounted rate. The max amount of pets we will have in our vehicle is 4-5. We believe that if we take anymore, that your pet doesn't get the attention it deserves and that is not right. We would love to work with you and make your pet's transport happen! We ask that you or if you're getting a new pet, that the breeder, provides a small baggie of food. We dont want to switch their food and then they get car sick. We do transport cargo and misc. items (funiture, boxes, helping out in moving) If there is a way we can transport, we will do it. Hi there! My name is Sue Compart. I absolutely LOVE animals! So much so that I have spent my entire life in the pursuit of knowledge, ability and ‘connection’ with many different pets/animals. I have developed abilities, and have gained extensive experience; with MANY animals, including receiving an AAS degree in Horse Science! 🐎 I also am a dog trainer 🐕. I have worked with, and trained, many different breeds, but I guess my specialties are Service Dogs 🐕‍🦺 and Protection Dogs 🐺. I love working with puppies and giving them a great, positive start. I have competed in, and titled in, many disciplines; including Obedience, Rally, Nosework, Schutzhund, Dock Diving, Weight Pull, Agility and many others! I have been head trainer for a Humane Society shelter, and currently have my own business. But I have also had, and worked extensively with, donkeys 🐴, goats 🐐, cats 🐈, ferrets 🦝, rabbits 🐇 & small rodents 🐁 ; plus I have a fair amount of experience with birds 🦜 and reptiles 🐊 🪱. I am told I am a great driver 🚗. I can even handle winter snow ❄️ and other difficult road conditions 🌪💨🌨 because I grew up in Minnesota, on a farm, driving all kinds of vehicles, in all sorts of terrain, and in weather of every variety! You will be able to track my every move with a gps app (at no cost to you)! You will see where I am, how fast I’m going, when I stop and for how long, EVERYTHING! Of course I do carry full insurance, including coverage for my precious ‘cargo’! 😁 I am a certified pet first responder, having been certified by the American Red Cross in Pet First Aid and CPR.🚑. But I also trained as an (human) EMT! With young puppies, less than 12 weeks old, if you desire, we offer a ‘No Feet On The Ground’ policy; meaning we won’t endanger their health by taking them out onto potentially contaminated ground. But we will keep them bedded in clean, soft blankets and towels. Any that gets soiled will be IMMEDIATELY removed and replaced. We use a pet-safe disinfectant as needed during these clean-ups, and to entirely clean crates between pets. 🐾 Cats, are a specialty of mine (I’m a cat behaviorist, and feral cat rehabilitator; and I have never been without at least one cat at any time since I was 2 years old!). Cats will, of course, stay in their crates for the entire journey. But they will be softly bedded, and have 24 hour access to cool, clean, filtered water. In addition they will have access to a litter box; and food as directed by you. And, of course, lots of love and attention!! 🐈‍⬛💜 I make a promise to provide: 1) Safety 2) Quality Care 3) Comfort 4) Love and Affection. 5) Keeping you updated. 6) (Dogs) Leash-training done in a gentle, non-stressful way (for those who can be taken out to potty and exercise). 7) Getting your pet to you in good time. Notice that safety, comfort, and a couple other things, take precedence over speed. If it’s not safe, I will slow down, or even stop for a bit. All pets will travel legally in an approved crate, that is securely fastened, as the law requires. But we will definitely give your pet lots of love and cuddles when we stop 😁. I promise to treat your pet like royalty 🏰 ! I'll make sure it has a comfortable, clean and dry bed 🛏 , that it is at a pleasant temperature 🌞 (there are separate climate controls for the cargo area); and will always have access to cool, clear and clean water 💦💧 (only filtered/bottled water, no tap water, to reduce chances for digestive upsets). I will make sure to give it scheduled meals 🦴🥙 (provided by you. However I will provide food, that is the HIGHEST quality, if it’s needed); and to stop often for elimination needs, as well as for exercise and for psychological needs 🦮. In addition, I am experienced with administering medication (by any method) if your pet should require it. Additionally you can receive these extra pet services if you desire: 1) Nails trimmed on cats and dogs (no charge😀). 2) Light grooming (brush and comb-out) on cats and dogs (no charge 😁). 3) GPS locator attached to the pet (no additional charge, but only a limited number available). 4) Microchipping at cost (approximately $12).
