I started transporting animals occasionally for a friend who fosters dogs and owns a Maine Coon cattery, and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to expand and offer my services to other people, now I spend about half my time at home and half my time on the road. I treat every animal put under my care with the same love and respect that I show to my own animals, and I'm so grateful to those of you who trust me with your pets 🩶 TRAVEL CONDITIONS: - GENERAL • All of my bids are for driving and solo transportation unless otherwise stated. • I stay at rest stops instead of hotels because I have a serious fear of getting bedbugs, but my car stays climate controlled throughout the whole night. • I offer food and water at every single stop, but most animals do not eat during these trips until we're settled down for the night. • Photos/updates will be sent every 2-3 hours. • GPS can be shared upon request - CATS • I have an XL cat carrier that streches across my back seat, it can comfortably fit 3 average size cats plus a small litter box. With 1-2 cats a food and water dish will also fit inside. ~ The added space and amenities compared to a normal carrier seem to drastically improve the comfort level for the cats and reduce anxiety. ~ If you would still prefer to use your own carriers, that's fine! ~ If you'd like to use mine but but still need yours transported, no problem! I have room to bring them with. • I will provide litter and water, but you must provide your own food. - DOGS • I have a "pet hammock" in the back seat for comfort and safety, and seatbelt attachments for dogs that are rowdy in the car. •Large dogs WILL fit comfortably in my car, there are several photos below of a 130ish pound mastiff in different positions in my car, he was able to lay comfortably in my back seat with the doors closed 😁 • I stop every 2-3 hours for us to stretch and use the bathroom. • You must provide your own food. - SMALL PETS • Please provide detailed care instructions. • This is the catagory most likely to end up combined with another family's shipment. ~ IF this happens, they will be kept completely separate from each other and never left unattended with larger animals. PAYMENT POLICY: - I accept Venmo, Paypal, Zelle, or cash. - I do ask for 50% payment up front to offset travel expenses. The other 50% will be paid at drop off. - The website does charge a booking fee that I have no control over. ** I DO NOT WORK WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE RUDE OR DISRESPECTFUL **

I have so many cat and dog toys to keep your pet happy and occupied for the ride •photos at pick up to verify I am getting the right pet from your origin location, as well as lots of photos and videos along the way. -lots of love and affection for your fur pal! Payment: - Venmo for Business -cash app - credit card (vía Venmo for business / invoice + 2.5%) -cash or money order - No personal checks please - Deposit are required for flight nanny services and for ground transports scheduled over 30 days out or valued over $500 USD to hold the reservation/date of transport. For flight nanny services: - my bid is based on the current costs of flights plus the best airline options pet fees - some airlines charge the pet fee each way, and some charge it per leg/layover. I will research all of this for you - if the flight costs go up substantially, I will let you know and adjust accordingly - upon booking I only require the cost of the flight and pet fee to the airline up front as a deposit, and will book the flight at the time of your booking to guarantee a spot for your pet on the flight (some airlines have a maximum number of pets allowed in cabin per flight across all passengers). - the remaining amount will be due upon delivery - I will keep you updated if there are any delays or issues with transport from the airline and any changes in real time - flight nanny services assume pick up/delivery at the airport, but I am happy to arrange other options if possible (I can pick up and deliver in the DC metro area within a reasonable distance of Maryland), or Uber/Lyft or rent a car for me to deliver to you and request reimbursement if outside my home area.

I grew up on a small hobby farm in rural MN, with cats and larger mixed breed dogs, mainly German Shepherds and Collies, in addition to dairy cattle. I still live in MN but I have small dogs now, Cavaliers. We also have 3 cats, including a Maine Coon. In the past we've owned birds and more recently a corn snake, so I've had experience with a variety of animals. As a kid, my family didn't travel much because of our dairy farm, but family vacations with my husband and our kids have awakened in me a desire to travel. We have included our Cavaliers on our vacations since adopting them 3 years ago, so now I've learned that combining pets with a road trip is a pretty hard combo to beat! We still have teens at home. We enjoy the flexible schedule of homeschooling, but we still have commitments for other activities, so my availability varies. I include 1 or more of my teens as I transport your pets, to give love, attention and reassurance during the drive, and to monitor their needs.

Hello!! I’m Tammy Jo of TJ’S Pet Transportation. I have taken a few years off from transporting to help out with a sick family member. I am expanding into some light weight hauling as well. I am ready to hit the road again! I started out in the pet business over 30 years ago when I got my first job working on a farm at the age of 15. The summer I turned 18 I learned how to groom and went on to manage a pet supply store. 25 of those years I spent grooming, learning dog behavior, proper care and first aid. Making sure that your pet is healthy, happy and safe while it is with me is my number one priority. It doesn't matter if your special baby is full of energy or shy, they are the pet for me. I have a Standard Poodle and she loves babies. So the transition will be less stressful and as seamless as possible. Here at TJ’S Transportation I make sure and stop every 3 hours so they can stretch their legs and go potty unless your baby hasn’t been fully vaccinated. In that case they are provided potty pads that are changed every three hours or sooner so we can keep your baby clean. Our days last around 12 hours with 8 of those being actual drive time. The other four hours a dedicated to potty breaks, play time and having some down time so they can eat. By the end of the day we are all ready for some quite rest. Things I will need from you if you choose to use my services for your pet... Current shot records, health certificate from a vet and food for the trip. Please remember upon bid conformation I require a %50 deposit and the remaining balance upon delivery. The health and safety of all the pets I transport come first. When it comes to hauling I provide blankets, straps and an appreciation for others items. I have moved more times than I care to remember and was taught how to tie things down by a long time trucker. Your precious cargo is w/someone at all times & is in the cabin of the plane, never in the cargo area of the plane (which we highly do not recommend). Please understand that we have no way to contact you by any other means than the chat here, that is the rule with CitizenShipper, & we have no control over that. Also, there is a 💵 fee you pay to CitizenShipper. We do not receive any money from CitizenShipper (we actually have to pay CitizenShipper as well every month), the fee is for bringing us together.
