My husband and I adopted a Golden Retriever from a rescue shelter in Wisconsin, sight unseen, and needed to get him to us in Northern New Hampshire. To get him ourselves would have taken a week or longer. We researched transportation options and found Citizen Shipper. I found it very confusing to navigate, but once I posted my transport request, enter Danielle Burik - Collier, owner and operator of Paws N Us, who posted a transport offer, then proceeded to walk me through the process of getting booked after I responded to her offer, so that alone was awesome. She contacted me and answered my questions as they arose (I had many), and I was able to speak with her and her awesome husband and business partner Keith on the phone several times. They always made themselves available, and they are extremely amazing at what they do! They got to our dog and picked him up a day early, and treated him just like one of their own. They were very patient with him and tended to his every need. He’s been abused, neglected and has never lived in a home before, so this was a challenge. They bought him his own comforter and provided toys, they just thought of everything! We also got lots of photos, texts and phone calls, which helped us relax and know that our dog was in expert hands. He is currently on medication, and they were diligent about giving it to him. When Keith and Danielle realized that our dog was bleeding and needed immediate veterinary care, they called to inform us of the situation, and located an emergency vet facility, driving out of their way at 1 AM. We were kept informed, contacted by the vet, and Danielle and Keith were amazing throughout the ordeal, keeping our dog calm as and comfortable as possible. They were up all night getting him the care he needed, and words can’t express how grateful we are! If you need pet transportation, Danielle and Keith are definitely the people to help you out! They are knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and down to Earth people who love animals and love what they do. They are absolutely amazing, angels on Earth, and I would not hesitate to book with them again. Thank you so much for the excellent service and for doing what you do so well!
