I hired Rob to transport a motorcycle from West Virginia to me here in RI. He was quick to communicate and agree upon a price. I paid the deposit immediately and provided him with all the details as requested. He told me he would pick up the bike Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning. Dec 19/20, this would have it here for Christmas. Since it is a gift it was important to have it here on time. Well Rob never showed up to pick up the bike. Today is Christmas eve and it is still in West Virginia . I have attempted to contact him several times via text, telephone, email and messenger here on this site. He has not responded to any of my messages. I find it disturbing that someone can ignore an agreement of this nature and especially on Christmas! If you are considering hiring Rob/Empire Transport I highly recommenced that you reconsider. Merry Christmas Rob, may 2017 bring karma to your doorstep.

Simply put, Jane is my hero. My significant other and I are currently in the middle of conducting a split move, with him having already moved to our new destination while I stayed behind to tie up loose ends at our old one. We needed to somehow ship our two cats across the country, and since we are on a budget, air shipping--which would have cost over a thousand dollars, excluding the required vet visits for vaccination updates and travel paperwork--was not an option for us. I posted a job on CitizenShipper in near-desperation, determined to not let our only option be to return one or both cats to the shelter, and Jane took it. She has been wonderful, and that is putting it mildly. Jane arrived the night before I left to join my significant other in our new home to retrieve our cats, which was four days ago, and my partner was able to meet with her near the intended destination earlier this evening to pick them up and take them home. She accomplished this on very little sleep, in the mist of a nationwide freeze, with other animals for other people's jobs in the car as well. Jane has been a godsend; I don't know if we would have been able to keep one or either of our cats had she not done for us what she has. Thank you so much, Jane! I don't think I'll ever be able to describe how grateful I am for you and the tremendous efforts that you've made in the last few days, but know that I deeply appreciate your help. The guy was very rude. Told me he'd have our dog to us Friday but then changed it to Saturday (which is fine I understand the weather sucks) then got mad when I asked how my dog was doing. Then proceeded to tell me he hadn't slept in 2 days and was driving with 9 other dogs in a small car NOT in crates!!! My dog is my family, the fact he didn't sleep in 2 days while driving her is unacceptable. Then had the nerve to say he'd go to my CO (I'm in the Navy) because I was being difficult. Robert was awesome! Very friendly and professional. Took good care of my cats. Both of my cats were comfortable, even the one who doesn't like strangers! When he arrived at the destination, the cats ended up not being able to be delivered to my friend. Robert stayed on the phone with me and helped me find a solution, instead of just dropping them off at shelter. He was very patient with me while I was busy panicking. Robert did deliver my cats back to me. In pretty much a 24 hour period, he picked up my cats from NC, drove down to FL, and drove back up to NC to bring them back. Robert is very reliable and I would always trust him with my cats! Also he has reasonable rates even with the non-delivery fee added in compared to other companies I was looking at. Shipped two dogs, 8lb Yorkie and 60 lb mix from New Hampshire to Florida Shane was polite and stayed in contact. However after accepting the bid for pick up on Thursday, they were finally picked up Tuesday night at 7pm. He arrived in an extended cab pickup truck. Shane's family (wife and 2 kids) were with him and he assured us they would be well taken care of after being concerned at where the dogs would fit. The yorkie settled on a pillow in between the front seats and I had said there would be room for the bigger dog between the two kids in the back seat. After leaving with the dogs Shane asked me to have the person he was delivering the dogs to, to have cash for delivery. This became an issue because of work hours and bank hours. If we had been aware from the beginning this wouldn't have been an issue. When the dogs were delivered the bigger one was beyond thirsty, and had been in a crate in the back of open bed truck. She was so shaken up she wouldn't even take treats (very food driven dog). Both dogs are crate trained but had never been created in a moving vehicle or bed of a truck before. Shane told the person that the two dogs had been rotated between being inside the truck and in the crate in the open bed of the truck. I had told him the dogs could be crated at a hotel if needed, but never imagined he would be driving with one in the open bed of the truck. I have driven this trip before with both these dogs, and have had them driven before by other shippers and never run into a problem or concern for them until now. I will NOT being using Shane again.

Completely ridiculous. She didn't seem to care about us or our dogs. She overcharged us hundreds of dollars. We were supposed to pay for gas on the way there and she said she would pay for the tolls. She made us pay for gas on the way there and her way back along with nearly all the tolls. We showed up to our destination 9 hours late. The trip originally was going to be 16-17 hours but she stopped to sleep four times because she was hung over. She also tried to cancel the trip a couple hours before we left and wasn't happy when we said we couldn't cancel.

Joe got the small desk here in one piece for a very reasonable price, and I appreciate his work. However, his communication was sorely lacking prior to pickup and during transit. Even when I requested better communication and made clear that I could not accommodate last-minute notifications for the pickup, the communication line did not improve, and Joe rushed my family and I into a pickup time that we went to great length to coordinate at his last-minute notice, which he then missed due to heavy traffic. The next day, Joe's truck broke down en route, which I was sympathetic about. I had no rush for receiving the item. However, I received no updates from him whatsoever about the new timeline of when he expected the truck to be fixed. I had to initiate every single update, and often ask for clarification or details from short, vague texts. So three stars for getting the job done at a good price, but two stars taken off for the lack of communication.

I'm extremely anxious when it comes to having my dogs moved from location to location without me being there as our dog gets very difficult to handle when she gets separated from her family. But Shane has exceeded any expectations and was very cooperative and understanding. My husband and I are both in the military and unfortunately that means our dogs have to do a bit of a traveling as well to be able to stay with us. I was very nervous on having someone I didn't even know and only had spoken to on the phone drive my little dog cross country but after finding out that he was a fellow Marine, I knew he could be trusted. I gave him and his wife plenty of frantic calls and texts when I was getting anxious about the trip. He was very polite and prompt with responding and often sent me pictures. She seemed so happy and comfortable I almost thought she wouldn't want to leave Shane to come live with us! I'm SO glad that he was the one we decided to transport our little baby. Would never use again. More than a week late. Threatened to take my pup to his house and I'd have to find someone to come pick her up and finish the delivery. My pup arrived covered in pee and poo and was scared to death. All of the terms we agreed upon BEFORE we decided to use Bankitsafe were NOT followed at all. Was told it would be a 2 day delivery and ended up over a week. I even contacted citizen shipper multiple times as I had the threats and the ways he was not following our agreement in writting via email and text and citizen shipper said all drivers are their own company and refused to do anything. Do not use Bankitsafe.

While Shane was polite, he did not satisfy my expectations as a contracted driver. After confirming him as the winning bidder on my shipment, I contacted him to work out the details of the trip. He did not give me a definite date for pickup and delivery, and as we got closer to when I needed my shipment picked up, he responded with more and more reasons for further delays, like running over deadline on other shipments, not having the necessary vehicles and equipment to complete the job, and relying on family members to help get him on schedule. As this shipment was a crucial step in running my business and coordinating with other subcontractors, I could not afford to wait for him to get organized and come up with a feasible timeline. As a result, I have to find another method of transport, and have spent hundreds of dollars more than I wanted, wasted time, and run out of patience. I will not do business with this driver in the future, and hope that he offers other customers more professionalism and confidence and is more organized going forward.

Great communication before he got to me and great communication while he was on the road to Sacramento. We had a great conversation while we were loading up his truck: an interesting man and fun to talk to. Made the drive quicker than I would have been able to if I had driven. A reasonable price. Would heartily use again.
