Hello - We're so happy you've taken the time to check out our profile. We are Nicole and Ben and we make up Mouse Mountain/PAWS - Pets Across the Western States. Service First a little about the ride. We have excellent driving records, and have traveled by road all over the US. We love animals and love a good road trip. Our primary transport vehicle is a fully insulated Chevy cargo van and we have crates to fit every pet. On the road, we stop every two hours or so for exercise, water and potty breaks and for trips longer than a day, we stay in pet friendly lodging. If you have questions or preferences regarding travel arrangements, please let me know. Cleanliness The last thing we want is for one of the animals in our care to get sick. We spend a lot of time cleaning our equipment before and after trips. We use bleach, KennelSol and Sniper to clean and disinfect our van, crates and blankets between every trip. (See the photo of the cleaning scene in our images section.) No animal comes into contact with any equipment that hasn't been cleaned prior to use. Our disinfectants are proven to work against the toughest germs, including those that cause parvo virus. I've transported adult dogs and puppies locally and long-distance, and have brought a dog to an airline for international transport. I am efficient, safe, kind and reliable. I can walk you through the steps involved if you have not used a pet transportation service before. As a former librarian, I'm always happy to help you navigate the process. I'm a seasoned traveller and a dog parent and conscientious driver with experience caring for more than 100 dogs as a dog sitter and walker. Transport by EV= not only do we have a carbon-neutral footprint but there are built-in breaks about every 3 hours of more than 30 minutes, for the dogs to get more exercise and fresh air than any other transporter would provide them! I am trained in dog health and Cat & Dog First Aid/CPR, experienced with fragile and elderly pets and their care and trained in the special needs of puppies. >>> Keep in mind that your final cost also includes CitizenShipper's fee. In many cases, I can help offset that cost when you and I negotiate my fee for transport. Hello! We are Christa Vealey and Vicki Keene, dog moms and professional pet transporters based in Jacksonville, NC. Our goal is simple: provide safe, reliable, and stress-free transportation for your pets. Christa is CPR and First Aid certified, and every pet receives personalized attention, constant supervision, and compassionate care throughout their journey. We specialize in small, personalized transports, typically accommodating up to 2 pets per household and no more than two households per route; this is dependent upon the age and size of the pets. We never outsource transports—you will work directly with Christa and Vicki from pickup to delivery. For the safety of all animals, we require current vaccination records and any necessary paperwork for interstate travel. Puppies must be at least 8 weeks old, and their paws will never touch the ground during transport. We use transport-certified crates and never stack crates under any circumstances. Personal crates are not permitted for safety reasons. Crates are sanitized at every four-hour stop, fresh water is available at all times, and feeding schedules are maintained as needed. We limit driving shifts to between 12 and 14 hours for the well-being of the pets in our care, so overnight stops may be necessary on longer routes. To keep you informed, we provide Life360 live route tracking, group chats, regular updates, and photos. Vicki typically manages communication during transport, and both of our phones are always available with ringers on for owners, breeders, and recipients.
