Hi, I’m Matthew Harter! I am based out of Southern Indiana near Evansville. I may be new to CitizenShipper, but I’m definitely not new to responsibility, customer service, vehicles, animals, or spending a lot of time behind the wheel! I spent nearly 10 years in the automotive industry, eventually working my way into operations management. I also basically grew up in a veterinary clinic as a kid, so I’ve been around animals most of my life. These days, my own crew includes 2 dogs, 3 cats, 12 chickens…and one spoiled indoor house chicken. Yes, you read that correctly. 😂 Oh! I can’t forget my wife and 3 beautiful children! With my background in automotive, I over-maintain my vehicles. Unfortunately, things can happen on the road. In the rare chance something mechanically goes wrong, I can generally get it fixed very quickly. I carry my own tools “just in case”. I’m dependable, straightforward, and big on communication. If I’m transporting something—or someone furry, feathered, or otherwise—for you, you won’t be left wondering where we are. I’ll provide updates along the way and treat your shipment or pet like I’d want someone to treat my own. You WILL receive lots of pictures and full-time GPS tracking. I enjoy driving, traveling, meeting people, and seeing new places. I have several years of delivery experience. As a side gig and for some extra spending money, I’ve been driving for Amazon Flex. I also spent 2 years as a medical courier. I delivered everything from hospital equipment to body parts! So, I am no stranger when it comes to driving on a tight schedule! My goal is simple: be safe, be reliable, communicate, and get everyone where they need to go! Please forgive me, but I do tend to overcommunicate! ANIMALS & PETS DELIVERY: (see below for other items) I can provide a crate/kennel only upon request, but I strongly recommend sending your pet in their own whenever possible. Familiar sights and smells can help reduce anxiety during the trip. Favorite blankets, towels, toys, or other comfort items are also encouraged. I’ll carry extras if needed. (All bedding and towels washed and sanitized after every trip!) All carriers and kennels will be secured with seatbelts and/or tie-downs. For our feline friends, I will provide a large kennel with a disposable litter box and litter. The kennel will be large enough to allow your kitty to have ample space to use the litter box. If you would rather they travel in their own carrier, please let me know and I will only use the kennel for potty breaks. Sometimes cats prefer the safety of their carrier. FOOD, TREATS & SNACKS MUST BE PROVIDED. With allergies and special diets, I don’t want to take any chances. Please provide enough of your pet’s normal food and treats for the entire trip. Fresh filtered water will be provided throughout the journey. OTHER ITEMS DELIVERY: Please verify pickup and delivery dates for your items. Have all dimensions and measurements of your items so I can confirm proper fitment. *TERMS & CONDITIONS* By booking transportation services with me, the customer agrees to the following terms: CITIZENSHIPPER FEES: Any booking, platform, or other fees charged by CitizenShipper are completely separate from my transportation fee. My quoted price represents the amount paid directly to me for transportation services and does not include fees charged by CitizenShipper. PAYMENT METHODS: At this time, I accept PayPal and Venmo for deposits and payments. The remaining balance may also be paid in cash at delivery if you prefer to avoid any potential transaction or processing fees associated with PayPal or Venmo. Please have payment ready upon delivery, as the remaining balance must be paid in full before I leave the delivery location. DEPOSIT: Due to the extremely high and fluctuating cost of fuel and other transportation expenses, a 50% deposit is required prior to pickup to secure the transport. The remaining 50% balance is due upon delivery and must be paid before I leave the delivery location. PAYMENT INFORMATION: The deposit helps cover fuel and other upfront expenses associated with completing the trip. Once transportation has begun, the deposit is non-refundable except when I am unable to complete the transport due to circumstances within my control. SCHEDULING: Please message me prior to contracting me to confirm pickup and delivery dates. It’s possible I may be on the road and want to make sure I can get your items in a timely manner. Pickup and delivery dates/times are estimates unless specifically agreed upon otherwise. Traffic, weather, mechanical issues, road closures, animal needs, and other circumstances outside of my control may cause delays. I will communicate any significant delays as soon as reasonably possible. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY: The customer is responsible for providing accurate pickup and delivery information, contact information, and any important instructions before transportation begins. For pet transportation, customers must disclose any known medical conditions, behavioral concerns, medications, special feeding requirements, or other information necessary to safely transport the animal. PET TRANSPORT: The safety and comfort of every animal in my care is a priority. Reasonable stops will be made as necessary for water, feeding, bathroom breaks, exercise, and general welfare. Animals must be safe to transport and have any documentation, carriers, leashes, medications, food, or other supplies agreed upon before pickup. *LIVE GPS TRACKING PROVIDED AT ALL TIMES DURING OUR JOURNEY!!* LODGING (if applicable): If lodging is necessary for our journey, we will only stay at pet-friendly hotels (if applicable). We will NEVER spend the night in the vehicle! PERSONAL BELONGINGS: Any personal property transported with an animal or shipment should be disclosed in advance. I am not responsible for normal wear, minor damage, or loss of personal items unless caused by negligence on my part. I will inventory customer supplied items prior to trips so that each item can be returned. CANCELLATIONS: If a customer cancels after a trip has been confirmed, any refund of the deposit will depend on how much notice is provided and whether travel or other expenses have already been incurred. Cancellations after I have departed for pickup may result in forfeiture of the deposit. COMMUNICATION: I will make reasonable efforts to provide updates throughout the transport and will immediately communicate any significant issue affecting the safety of the animal/shipment or the expected delivery. While a tad bit older, this car is very well maintained and very comfortable! I’d use this car for your smaller pet friends or smaller items that need more delicate care.

2016 Dodge Grand Caravan Passenger

Van/Minivan · white

Not much to say about this van. There are millions of them on the road. Very well maintained, rear HVAC to keep your furry friends comfortable! I’d use this vehicle for larger animals or items.

2016 RAM 1500 Crew Cab

Pickup · white

This vehicle will only be used to pick up and deliver other items. No animal delivery will be done with this truck. I will use this truck to tow trailers if needed.

I was initially uneasy using a new service and entrusting a stranger with our new puppy. What a blessing it was to find this company! Quick to reply, welcomed professionalism and communication. Frequent updates, pictures and videos helped provide reassurance that we made the PERFECT choice! He purchased a blanket for her along the journey to make her more comfortable…it’s very hard to find someone who cares as much as he did and values the service he provides.
