I can administer any medication if needed during our travels. Ive recently obtained a certification in dog training. I’ve spent 3 months volunteering at a no kill shelter. At the shelter I helped with basic obedience to help the dogs find their forever home. I currently own a German shepherd, and a bulldog. So I’m aware of the issues with snub nose dogs.

I am a 39yr old, drug free, non-smoker and have been undertaking cross country drives for 24 years; beginning with family trips while I still just had my learner's permit. I have driven/ridden every type and size of vehicle from dirt bikes/motorcycles to 26' box trucks. I have had jobs which required the transport and delivery of large electronics (TVs, appliances, etc), furniture, party equipment (moon bounces, obstacle courses, dunk tanks, rock walls, etc), small scale electronics (computers, networking equipment, etc), and have towed a wide variety of trailers including jet ski, boat, open car carrier/utility, motorcycle, box, dunk tank, and artificial rock wall. I am a certified behavior modification consultant and I know my way around aggressive, and anxiety filled dogs. I am CPR, First-Aid, and Nutritionally certified. So, if you choose Take A Lead (Tracy Latour) for your transportation services, I will make sure your dog rides in safety, comfort, and with the least amount of stress or anxiety during their trip! I stop and let them out for potty breaks and play time about every 3 to 4 hours of driving. They will have temperature-controlled environment, with soft music playing in the background, secure and crash proof crates to ride in and access to food and water. I will text you pictures and updates of your dog's travel and you will be able to GPS track our journey and follow along. I keep all clients updated of any traffic, detours, or change of travel plans throughout the whole trip. Hello! My name is Sam and I'm an animal lover located in Tampa, FL. Apart from having a family dog (or dogs) my entire life, I have years of experience with dog training and transportation and was even a service dog trainer for a while. Needless to say, I know how to treat your pets through good and challenging times - with love! I am a flight nanny. This means I fly commercially with your pet. Your pet is always with me in the cabin, NEVER in cargo, unless your dog is over 20 pounds and you've specifically asked for! I will take extra care of your beloved pet and aim to go the extra mile - literally! I am extremely flexible and will work with you and your specific requests. Your pet will always be with me, not another person, and will be the only pet on our journey together. Before I pick up your pet, I will make sure I understand your pet's feeding, bathroom, and medication (if applicable) schedule. Keeping to that schedule will reduce stress for all of us. As with most flight nannies, the rate shown includes delivery to you at the nearest large airport. I’m happy to provide door-to-door service for an extra charge, just ask! There are a few airline rules for transporting pets via plane, so make sure you message me before accepting my bid. I've included some important information below. Here are some things that set me apart: - Unlike most flight nannies, I offer pickup and dropoff from places other than the airport, just ask me about door-to-door service. - I provide GPS tracking and photo updates throughout our entire trip, so you know exactly where we are and how we are doing. - I have dual USDA registrations (Class T and H). This means I can transport pets in vehicles I own or vehicles I don't own (i.e. planes). - I take the time to get to know your pet even before I pick them up. This includes feeding and medication schedules, as well as traits and idiosyncrasies. - I am a frequent flyer, so I get first priority when flights are canceled or delayed. - I fly confirmed flights only, so you will know the exact flight number and arrival time. - We have full trip delay insurance. If we are delayed and have to spend the night somewhere, you do not have to pay anything extra. Here are some other important pieces of information: Payment: A deposit of $100 is due within 24 hours of accepting my bid. Payment can be made via Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay, Paypal, or Credit Card. The remaining balance is due upon delivery and can be paid by the above methods or cash if you wish. Health Certificate: A health certificate is required for all animals. Almost all states require this. Bid: The bid is good for 12 hours after it is placed. After that, shoot me a quick message to make sure the flight prices have not changed. Cancellations: In the event you need to cancel, the deposit is not refundable. The only exception to this rule is in the event of illness. In this case, I fully refund the deposit. Sedation: Sedation is not recommended for air travel.

I come from a hospitality background, doing everything from night audit to sales. This past year my health declined due to long hours and not enough rest. I spent 6 weeks in the hospital and 3 months in rehab. It was at this time I realized life was to short to not start enjoying it. I decided to see the country so this was a natural choice for me. I love animals and love the opportunity to meet new families and help bring the animals to their families and new homes. I treat each animal as if it were my own when transporting. I want to make sure the animals are stress free when traveling. I stop every 4-6 hours for potty and exercise breaks bur I listen to what the animal is telling me. I normally like to do VIP/Solo travel unless the animals are from the same household. I provide blankets for comfort. Water, Approved Snacks, Leashes if needed and toys to keep the pets occupied. I normally try to drive 10-12 hours a day. I only charge for the actual milage from pickup point to drop off point. Please reach out if you have any questions.
