Hi, my name is Mistie! Pets are my absolute passion, and I built my business around my love for fur babies! I am the founder and owner of Pooches & Purrs Pet-Sitting based just outside of Nashville, TN. My business came to life in 2023 after a 25-year career in television news and corporate communications unexpectedly ended with a layoff in 2022. I shifted my focus to pets and providing the best possible care for them through boarding, drop-in visits, and daycare, including pet pick-ups and drop-offs. Now, I feel compelled to expand my offerings to long-distance pet transportation. As a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of communication when you're away from your fur baby(ies). I promise to communicate regularly with you through text, phone, and photos and promise to be accessible and informative with frequent updates during our travels. We will also take potty breaks every 3-4 hours with water available at all times in my vehicle. I am soooo excited about this new journey, and I cannot wait to help you! Additionally, I have just added a miniature camper that I intend to use for long haul trips requiring overnight stays. This way, your pet and I can avoid the extra time and cost of pet-friendly hotels. I also have an open-bed trailer that I can use for transporting appliances and furniture (large items), etc. when available.
