Hi, my name is Rich. I’ve had pets my whole life, both cats and dogs. Which I often had travel with me when on the road. A few years ago we traveled across the country with our 3 dogs. I just recently made the trip back from CA to NJ with our one 50lb pit mix, one 70lb lab mix, and our baby 5 month old Chihuahua mix that weighs under 4lbs! I found Citizen Shipper because I had thought about having someone else drive my dogs home while we flew. However, our 11 yr old pit mix Queenie, was diagnosed with lymphoma last July, and had just recently finished a round of chemo. So, my wife and I decided to drive everyone together and I found that it was the way to go. I loved it! Having the mix of sizes and breeds, I learned a lot about where to stay and how to manage 3 dogs on the road. By the way, Queenie is in remission and doing great! I am USDA Class T registered to transport your pet legally and safely within the United States (Certificate No. 22-T-0166). I may be new to transporting pets for others, however, I am not new to driving short and long distances with pets and know the country from the road well. I would love the opportunity to drive your fur baby to your next location! What I offer: • Water and food bowls • Treats, unless you have specific treats you want to give your fur baby. • Car seat belts for dogs and cats. If you would like your fur baby in a crate at this time you will need to provide one. • During transport I will send pictures and videos (I will make sure we are in a safe place to get out and stretch for picture time). • I am happy to give medications if needed. About PETS: *Above all else... SAFE, SECURE, COMFORTABLE, and STRESS-FREE* • All pets must be 8 weeks or older to be legally transported, per USDA regulations. • USDA regulations also require 2 forms from a veterinarian before transport of your pet. (Vaccination records AND Health records). • I can offer bedding of all sizes (although if your pet has these items and other comforts, I recommend using those). • I provide fresh bottled water 24/7. • I provide food (that is supplied to me at pickup) according to your preferred amount and schedule. Special diets discussed in advance can be arranged as well. • I provide frequent potty breaks and walks in quiet pull-offs (parks, rest areas, etc.). • I can administer medicine to your pets if supplied by you with the prescription or directions from the veterinarian. • I meticulously clean, sanitize, and fully dry all surfaces between each pet transport. • Your pet will never be unattended or subject to harsh temperature or weather conditions. • When overnight travel is involved, your pets and I will stay in pet friendly hotels or pet friendly RV campgrounds. Depending on the route I may use my motorhome to transport your pet. Needing to unwind and get some rest for myself and your pet is very important to me and makes for a more pleasurable experience. (All expenses incurred are included in my up-front cost!) Reimbursement is expected. • Cancellation Fees (within 72 hrs of pickup): - 48–72 hrs: 10% of quoted fee - 24–48 hrs: 15% of quoted fee - 0–24 hrs: 20% of quoted fee These fees help offset time and resources already invested.
