Thanks for stopping by! Steve and I started this journey in 2020 as our retirement gig. Steve was a process control engineer, I was a cardiac cath technologist and together we make Davidson Transport Pets! Along with our daughter, Stephanie, we travel the country taking care of sweet family pets, new additions and rescues. Our goal is to provide comfortable and expedient travel for your well loved pet. We respect the trust you'll be placing in us and we will be the transporters you'll be happy to recommend! At Davidson Transport Pets, many of our customers have become friends and use us routinely to get their pets to and from their winter retreats or their summer vacations. We always enjoy seeing them again and we hope to form the same relationship with you and your pet. Our reviews are non-solicited and describe the confidence our customers placed in us. Davidson Transport Pets is a VETERAN Owned, professional service with a personal touch! Do you have special circumstances or particular needs in regards to your transport? We want to know how we can help you and provide better services. Services we provide: Pet Transport (private or lightly shared) Drive your car with your pet Pet sitting Pet boarding Flight nanny We will also stand in for you at the airport to receive your pet from customs. It's our pleasure to serve you better. Citizenshipper charges a fee to put us together and it's based on the mileage of the trip. All of our quotes are for transport only and any additional services will need an updated quote. Please note that our quotes for service are higher during holidays. We have to consider the cost of lodging into every quote and holidays or peak leaf season have higher hotel fees. Our payments are made via Venmo or Zelle but we have cash-app and other options available as well as cash. If you wish to pay cash on delivery, then please discuss it with us prior to booking. Upon booking, we require a deposit for services if the date is more than 7 days out with one half of the remaining balance due 7 days prior to the trip. The deposit is 200$ and is included in the quote for service but it is non-refundable if you cancel the transport. If we cancel, all money will be returned. If trip is booked with less than 7 days out then one half of the quote is required immediately. Provided a transport is cancelled prior to any travel, we will refund all money except for deposit. If we have started traveling towards pick up, we will not issue any refund for cancellation. Final payment is required one hour prior to delivery unless you have made arrangements to pay cash. Cash payments must be approved prior to booking. Flight nanny fee is a set price of 1850. This includes all expenses and no other charges will be added. It is payable immediately after booking. No refund should you cancel. We provide carrier, food, water and endless piddle pads so that your new addition arrives clean and adorable! Winter road closures and storms mean that we may have extra days on the road due to ice and heavy accumulations. Please be advised if we are transporting for you and this occurs, we will require reimbursement for those extra days. Thank you for understanding. Trips in Western states! AZ, CA, OR, WA, UT, NV, NM. We charge a fuel surcharge for travel in these states. Aggressive dogs cannot be transported. Please be upfront about your pet's personality and behavior. It's our policy to cancel any transport without refund if we were to find your pet aggressive. Davidson Transport Pets provides clean, warm, comfortable bedding and stainless steel bowls for our passengers. If you require a crate, we can provide it at no extra cost. We ask that you send their normal food and treats so that we can avoid stomach issues. They will also need a good fitting harness and non retractable leashes. Kitties have special needs and we do our best to accommodate so they have a less stressful trip too. We use large crates and carriers so that they always have food, water, and litter available. Puppies and kittens ride crated and secluded from any other passengers. Endless piddle pads and wipes are provided to assure your new addition arrives clean and adorable. Please inquire about our stork package where a new travel crate is provided along with new bedding and bowls. We stay in touch! Expect us to update you at least 3x per day. We let you know when we start out in the morning and let you know how things are going mid day. Evening texts will have our location and address for the night. We do have GPS tracking available via Google maps, if you're interested. Most of our trips are private and direct meaning that we don't have zigzagging routes or take side trips with your pets on board. We are willing to work with you to meet your scheduling needs and deliver at your convenience. Our vehicle is a rental for all trips over 500 miles. This enables us to continue travelling should we encounter mechanical issues. We typically travel between 600 and 800 miles in a full day without significant delays. This allows us to maintain scheduled stops to fuel up, potty breaks, food and exercise. Any passenger that can be walked by leash will be able to get out and relieve themselves and take a brisk walk. Kitties, puppies and other various pets that cannot be walked will be given complete care at each stop and as needed. We stay at pet friendly accommodations and no pet is ever left unattended. We will take meals in the car or hotel room but we never leave your pet alone. It is always a pleasure to meet new people and pets and being able to help folks travel, move, or vacation with their pets is absolutely the best reward. Steve, Stephanie and I love animals of all kinds and we enjoy traveling with them. We're pet owners and we understand how you feel about trusting someone with your well loved pet(s). We will be the transporters you'll be glad to recommend!!!

We needed a last-minute (quite literally, as in within 12 hours of posting the ad) cross-country travel plan for a very large puppy. On a notoriously challenging holiday week, no less. Thankfully we selected Davidson from the offers available, and I could not be more impressed with Stephanie and Marvin. They were incredible, professional, and above all sincerely kind and dedicated to this work. I felt very reassured and knew the pup was safe with them. Stephanie was great with communicating regularly to keep us updated on progress and the puppy (which, taking care of this EXTRA-large goof is quite a handful!), including plenty of pictures of the adventures. I can only imagine how much of a hassle this last-minute request was and yet, they were always positive and understanding. I cannot recommend them highly enough and am so grateful for their service.
